The Doctor In The TARDIS

Folks, just found out (via Twitter) that the new series of Doctor Who now pops up on Sky Programme Guide and is ready to 'Record Series'..... IT'S NEARLY HERE..... :)

Its the same on Virgin Media as well :) getting excited!!!!

I'm going to set mine today (V+ for me not Sky)  :)

Ok, still need to set that up! Will do it now!  :)

I also see from the programme guide that Doctor Who confidential is showing on BBC HD as well as BBC 3, same as it was last year (another handy series link for me)....

I forgot about Confidential when I set up my link - USELESS!!!  ::)

I must confess that I tend to watch Confidential once and then never really go back to it. I can count on the fingers of one hand the Confidentials that i've watched multiple times. I still burn every one to DVD :)

I'll watch them once, either live or from the recording but then they will get deleted. I'll watch them again if they happen to be on TV & I do put the shortened versions from the DVDs on if I need short fillers but that's essentially it for the Confidentials. The show I plan to save on the box til the complete boxset comes out - it's getting a bit full though so I'm going to have to sacrifice one of the shows/series I already have on there I think (or actually get around to buying Being Human S3 on DVD so I can clear that!)

This is the last Monday Morning before Series 6 starts... My excitement is difficult to describe...

Are we going to get a post like this everyday with a growing number of CAPS and !!!!!!!!! :P

Only problem is they are showing confidential on bbc3 at 7pm when the channel goes on air - dunno about sky, but virgin is a pile of <expletive deleted> (hehe, I'll censor myself if you don't mind!) for recording this as it won't record before a channel is on air.
Pants, but I reckon all virgin tv blows.

Yeah I agree with you we have to sit and wait until it comes on and then record and then record the programme after just so we get all of it such a faff haha

I feel duty bound to point out that the next time it is Tuesday at 15:26 it will be next week... By which time I will have had several viewings of The Impossible Astronaut :)

I think its amazing that I've now got so many people to share the build up to a new season with. This is the first time i've been active in a forum for the start of a new series and coming on here and seeing everyone getting as excited as I am makes this whole experience sooooooo much more enjoyable :)

Same here :) the matt smith forum I'm a part of I joined last year in october so it will be good for this experience :)

Bless you newbies, I've been in Doctor Who forums (little ones) since at least Series 3 :) It is so much more enjoyable with people to share with :D

Yeah. I'm really not feeling it now. At the very least I expect a "this was filmed before the death of Elisabeth Sladen" line from the ident voiceover before it starts.

It will definately be bittersweet and tinged with sadness, but I have no doubt that Lis would have tuned in and loved it and there is no reason why we shouldnt do the same :)

Only 50 hours to go... David Tennant, Matt Smith and Captain Picard on the TV this morning boy I'm getting whipped into a Who Frenzy!

They are doing a tribute before and after the episode on saturday so I'm looking forward to it again :) and I'm sure Lis is looking down on us ashamed if we don't look forward to it so let's make her smile at us and keep looking forward to the new series

If we all watched 'The Empire Strikes Back' 24 times back to back then it would be finished just in time for the start of Series 6.... Just Saying!

My own personal favourite way to get to Series 6 Time is to watch 96 episodes of Raymond Blanc's Kitchen Secrets :)

What a difference a day makes.....its 32 little hours but to go! You couldn't even fly to New Zealand and get back in time for the start :) You could drive to London and back from my house 15 times though... Or cook 16 casseroles :)

Yup! First thing I did when I got up this morning was say to Dad "under 9 hrs to go!" And he looked at me and said... "I don't particularly care..." Majorly offended! :O

YAY! I shall be out at my grandad's pretty much the whole afternoon... Dad's promised me I'll be back in time for Who but sadly it means I'll miss a lot of the show build up on here... :(

I had to cancel the whole series link for confidential & then set it again after the show had started.

What's wrong with it? Just asking out of curiosity as mine seems to be ok - I just don't get the added minutes I've programmed to get on all my recordings is all.

Mine simply wouldn't start recording at all. Was really peeved.
Hoping it doesn't happen again this week - I don't like getting annoyed during "Who time"  :'(

I can imagine. And they claim these boxes have few faults!!! Mine is still saying it's currently recording a programme that was on 6 months ago - I clear it every day & every day it comes back   >:(

Sometimes my box records something I didn't select and doesn't record the thing I selected in the first place ugh and sometimes it doesn't record at all!!!!

Was it just me or did I imagine tonight's episode was an hour long?

That did appear the case at some point but sadly it turned out to be untrue.

I was promised an hour as well. My telebox now informs me that its only 45 mins. I've also had a crisis with my Sky box but fingers crossed its getting fixed :)

I think it's a test and is fate's way of making me appreciate it all the more :) It's only the HD box so if the worst comes to the worst I'll have to watch it in SD and wait for the BluRay! But I am confident normal service will be resumed :)

I can't describe the bitterness I feel that I contributed to the making of this show by actually paying my licence fee. Its spectacularly awful

I have just set my downstairs sky plus for the Doctor Who christmas special. The upstairs one cannot be done remotely but I will do it as soon as I get home. I have also instructed my parents to set their free view box and my brother is burning a copy directly on to DVD for me.

I will not be defeated.

Sadly, I haven't got Sky Plus any more, but I'll be setting my DVD to record.

I've just set mine now. The weather is being a nightmare this week so I just hope it doesn't cut out half way through.
