The Doctor In The TARDIS

The Doctor In The TARDIS Fanfic competition is back for the second time!

If you are a fan of fanfiction and like to write your own then we want you to get involved.

Over the next few weeks we want you to submit your best stories to the forum as part of our latest competiton. All entries will be read and voted on by a panel of judges from the moderating team, as well as being viewable to all members and visitors in the Fanfiction section. The entry chosen as the winner will then be pinned as the first readable topic in the FanFic section, get its very own post on the main Tardis Spoilers news site, be tweeted out to nearly 1000 people and be linked to all of our Facebook followers.

To be in with a chance of winning there are a few rules and regulations that you will need to adhere to.

1. All entries must be posted by Sunday 26th June
2. Each entry must be posted in its own seperate thread (not linked to on other sites)
3. Entrants can only submit a total of 5 stories
4. Stories must be Whoniverse related, so can include Doctor Who, Torchwood, Sarah Jane Adventures, K9 or original characters set within the Whoniverse
5. Stories must be your own, not ones you found on other sites
6. Stories currently within the forum will be automatically included, so if you have several already posted then please let us know which ones you would like to be selected for inclusion by bumping them up with a post to let us know.

When the competition ends, a group of specially chosen judges will narrow the best entrants down to three. The stories will then be submitted to forum members to choose their favourites over a specified period until a winner is chosen.

So get those fingers typing and make sure your stories are submitted.

Ooh tempting... And I've got til the 26th June... that's after exams... oooh =D We'll see :)

Hmm.... I'll try and finish the one I started... I can't promise anything though as I need to concentrate on my Final Project for Uni...

I'll definitely put the first Torchwood Five story in for this. I'll try to have the second one done by the deadline, as well as an homage to Sarah Jane I've been putting off writing for a little while.

I'll make sure mine is finished by then.

Shows how long I have been dragging my heels with it, I was promising the final part would be ready in time for the last competition ;D

Hmmmm I might enter one of my stories, people seem to like my Robin Hood story on my fanfic site and my mates from school, might enter that

I wanted to know if we're allowed to create our own characters?

I believe, though the Doc may correct me, that as long as it is set within the Doctor Who universe, including the spinoffs, then you can create your own new characters. Some of the others have created companions and alien races etc

Yep you can create as many new characters and scenarios as you like, though I would say to include at least one DW, TW or SJA character to keep it within the realms of the Whoniverse

Just over two weeks to get any new entries that you want submitted onto the forum for inclusion

Just start a new thread in this section with the title of your story :)

Click on New Topic (should be on the blue tab under my post now) - type in the title of your story where indictated then post it as you would a normal post. The story must be posted in full on this site to be eligible for this competition.

This has been given a one week extension, so if you havent submitted your stories yet you now have until Sunday July 3rd.

Entries need to be posted by midnight tomorrow, so if you want to contribute then do it quickly :)

Well the competition is closed and the entries are currently being whittled down. More information will be coming soon :)

Three stories have been shortlisted for the 2011 Fanfiction Competition. They are, in no particular order:

To choose your favourite, send a PM to me with your favourite by Tuesday 26th July, and the winner will be announced on Friday 29th July.

You may only choose one story each and you may only vote once. If you have written one of the above stories, then you are able to vote for yourself should you choose.

It's a close run at the moment, so keep PMing me with your favourite to help make sure they win :)
