Wow. Edging towards a top 10 placing. Awesome. That's the highest I've ever seen it for the classics.

Was it the highest it ever got though? Did the show ever rate higher during the classic series?

That would be City of Death. One of the episodes hit 16.1m. I think it was because ITV was on strike or had a power outage or something. The other episodes hovered around 14m though, too.

I might be wrong, but I am pretty sure that this was the second highest rated story in the shows history until Voyage of the Damned aired. I'm sure I read that somewhere.
