Title: Cassandra
Post by: Peri-Peri on January 21, 2013, 11:55:51 am
I really think Cassandra is a character that they could have done more with. It's at times like these that I really miss the multi episode approach of the classics. I don't think that we needed to have her return in other stories, but in the ones she appeares in I think it would have been better to expand the character more.

I like her. I agree with what PP says. There's not a call for her to be in more stories but it wouldn't have hurt to flesh her out a bit. I think the last scene helps with that though. I think a lot of character all through the history of the show suffer the same. In the classic run they just didn't bother most of the time and in the new series they don't often get enough time to do it properly.

I think we got all we needed from the character tbh. There wasn't a lot more to explore. That scene at the end summed it up nicely I felt.

I think Cassandra works well enough, though as I said elsewhere I don't quite buy her suddenly having a change of heart at the end.  I think what we got was enough, though.

but it wouldn't have hurt to flesh her out a bit.

Was that deliberate?  8)

I'd agree with this. Her ending was a bit sudden and perhaps a bit rushed, but I don't think we needed more from the character.

I prefered her in this to her first outing, but that's based more on the performances of Rose and Ten when she is in their body. I think it was odd bringing her back as her story seemed done but it wasn't a bad story for her and her ending was nice.

I think I agree with this. She seemed funnier but ultimately it wasn't 'her'
