Harvest of Time will feature the Third Doctor as played by Jon Pertwee. A novel set on both 20th century Earth and far into the future, it will have the Doctor battling his arch-nemesis, The Master, to save the universe – and facing the ultimate moral crisis.

Alastair Reynolds commented, ‘Doctor Who has been a big part of my life for forty years. To put things into perspective, when I was little I did not want to go round to another boy's house because he had Dalek wallpaper, a concept I found unspeakably terrifying. I am delighted and honored to have the chance to write a novel featuring not only one of my favorite Doctors, but the single greatest villain ever imagined: The Master.’

Release dates and prices TBA

This was actually written and announced two years ago but they decided to hold back on the release until this year, probably to tie in with the anniversary. Only this week was the cover revealed though. I think it's going to be great.

I'm so glad this is finally coming. I read about it ages ago. I thought it would never get released.

The only Third Doctor books I have read are the novelisations so this will be pretty cool. It's not surprising they are using the Master.
