The Doctor In The TARDIS

Just saw this (http://www.atvnewsnetwork.co.uk/today/index.php/atv-today/4479-poll-results-which-doctor-who-companion-would-you-like-to-see-return) which lists the companion that 'fans' would most like to see return. The top three were

1. Tegan
2. Liz
3. Romana

Do you agree? I would love to Liz return, but could take or leave the others

My vote is Peri. Because Sarah Jane has already "returned", and Peri is really the only other one I am really familiar with.

I want Martha to return too, but I don't think that counts :P

I would love to see more Martha, but not yet. Its a bit soon I think. From the classic series I would love Ben and Polly (though Michael Craze is dead so its unlikely) or Peri or Leela. Though in honesty I think I would be pretty happy with any of them. Even Mel and Adric. Though not at the same time. Id end up killing myself :P

Good to see some love for Peri. She would be my biggest want, obviously :D

We never saw (on tv at least) what became of Ace, so it'd be good to see her again and find out where she went and what she did after leaving the TARDIS.

Jamie also springs to mind - bow-ties may be cool, but kilts are cooler.

Peri would also be good - but only if that meant we could see King Yrcanos again!

I'd love to see a lot of them again.  Jamie in his kilt would indeed be very cool, as would Peri, Nyssa or Liz.  Like to see Tegan and Mel return as mutes, but otherwise meh :P

It seems that a lot of fans want old Doctors returning in 2013, but I personally wouldn't mind seeinf a few of the companions returning instead, esp after seeing Jo in Death of the Doctor.  The line about Ian and Babs not aging did make me wonder if we could be seeing them recast in a future episode.  That would make my fangirl heart squee a fair bit, I started watching the McCoy/Ace/Dalek episode the other day where they go back to Colville school and Trotters Road junk yard, made me very nostalgic :D

As long as Peri doesn't wear a bikini when she comes back, I think it'll be fine :P

Off hand I can't think of anyone I'd want brought back - except for something like the 50th anniversary.

Jo Grant worked in SJA just as Sarah Jane did in DW but I wouldn't like it to become common place.There's only so much 'fanwank' I can stomach :P

I'd agree that old companions should only be brought back if there's a good reason for it, but if a good reason could be found -

Jamie - strictly speaking, he shouldn't remember travelling with the Doctor, but they could always go back and meet an older Jamie in the later 18th century.

Victoria - it would be interesting to see how she's coped as a Victorian in the modern era (or whenever - Fury From the Deep was definitely set later than 1968)

Liz - wouldn't need much of an excuse to get her in

Leela - one of my favourites.  She was last seen on Gallifrey, but she could have left before the Time War

Ace - another of my favourites, and for the reason Dame Roger gave.

Actually, I'd like to see any of them who could be brought back with a good enough reason, although I'd be a bit leery of having anyone played by a different actor, which would rule out those who are dead.

Not sure how it'd work, but Donna was a good companion and I'd like to see her come back for an episode or two. I'd say Rose, but she technically really never left the Doctor, as she's got his human clone version thing in the parallel dimension with her. So she's still with him and really has no reason to return.

I would like to refute this statement.

I've seen a current pic of Nicola and she's hotter now than she was back then.

I understand Romana and liz being on that list, but Tegan? Seriously? She was just a sour faced know-it-all, ungrateful for her place and moany as hell (and not much different in real life from what I've seen/heard of her on commentaries and such). Why would people want her back?

I want Jo in the main show. I thought all my Christmasses had come at once when she showed up in SJA but I want to be greedy and get her back in the main show again, too.

I think I'd like to see Rose. I know she seems like she stayed for too long, but still... She was my first companion. Also, she could bring 10.2 with her- and the conversations between them and Matt Smith would be pretty epic AND funny.

Actually, I retract my earlier statement and replace it with Wilfred. I like him.... and I think it'd be interesting to see him and Eleven together, since he was with Ten when he was scared of dying

Leela, Liz, Peri or Mel. Yes, Mel. So shoot me :P
