Title: Spoilers!
Post by: poprockgeek on November 17, 2010, 12:02:49 pm
General guidance on when & where you can use spoilers, & how to use spoiler tags.

So where can you post spoilers?

You can post spoilers in any thread or section of the forum where they are clearly permitted e.g. The Spoiler Section or any thread with Spoilers in the title.

If you are starting a new thread & the section has no clear direction either way as to whether spoilers are allowed or not, include 'Spoilers' in the title of your thread.

If you are posting in an existing thread that has no clear direction either way please use spoiler tags (see below if you are unsure how to do this).

If the section (e.g The Silence) or thread clearly states that no spoilers are allowed then you may NOT post spoilers in any form. Reconsider your post & place it in the appropriate section.

How to use Spoiler Tags:

At the start of your spoiler type: [ spoiler ] but without the gaps.

Type your spoiler.

At the end of your spoiler type: [ / spoiler ] again without the gaps.

When it is posted (you may need to refresh the page before it takes effect - just thought I'd mention that to stop you worrying!) it should look like this:
Hello
Any questions about spoilers ask below  :)

Just adding an update to this section. The Doc has now transformed the policeman smiley into a spoiler tag smiley. The picture is staying the same, but now when you click him instead of getting his face it will instantly give you spoiler tags. Hope this helps.
