I have spent many years actually believing that I am the Doctor and I will not shift from that position. Incidentally has anyone seen my fob watch?

Awesome Smiley

I'd rather be the companion and *be* with the Doctor. Cheesy

I agree with this 200% Cheesy

Donna was great, feisty and funny and not afraid to challenge the Doctor when he needed a smackdown.  I'm not a fan of Ten, but she made series 4 enjoyable for me.  I HATED her fate though - all those amazing adventures and she wasn't allowed to remember any of it.  RTD could write some good stuff, but this was definitely not it.

I loved Donna and agree that her fate was terrible - but I guess the silver lining is that she ended up getting what she had been looking for since she was first introduced - wedding, husband, financial security, etc.  So in the end, she is able to go on and have a good life - a happy ending if you will - even though there is no memory of her adventures.

Hi, I'm Josh and I am new around here. I don't know anyone yet but I like that this place is new. It's easier to get talking to people that way. I am a member of another forum, but I never speak. Lots of people there act as though they own Doctor Who and shout you down if you say stuff that they dont like or agree with or whatever, or just treat you like a fool. Well, not me personally, but I have seen how they speak to other members and it put me off speaking up so I just lurk. I only spoke up here because of what it said in the rules and I figured that with there being less people it would be easier.

Anyway, I ramble a lot....

Rambling is good!  Nice to meet you!

I think he is fantastic!  And technically he was my first doctor and is what really drew me into the series.  I love that he is so manic and alien and brilliant and a generally crazy.

What do you think the chances are of them ever showing it on BBC America.  I am guessing slim to none Sad

With the risk of a battering in mind, can I just say the vampire guy is totally fugly!!

He may be a little 'dirty' but that isn't always a bad thing!

I also really like Being Human.  It is so well written and you are right - they have some great one liners!
1070  The Leisure Hive / Satellite Five / Re: Firefly To Return? on: August 31, 2010, 02:40:34 am
I just finally started watching Firefly and am about half way through the series.  So far I love it - but to have it come back with a new cast?  Not so sure about that one...

Chris said it very well and I agree that he's 'squee'.  I can sum up how much I loved 10 by telling you that I actually own a pair of maroon Chucks Smiley

I have a Ten!Bear. Build-a-Bear is awesome. Cheesy

OMG!  You can do that at Build-a-Bear!  I need to go there STAT!

Were the Emmy's recent? I thought they were at the beginning of the year like the Oscars and Golden Globes and whatnot

They were on last night.  I was on Twitter during the red carpet and all of a sudden there was madness trending about David being there followed shortly thereafter by people posting pictures and video.  It was cool, and kinda funny and scary at the same time Smiley

My name is Christine and my user name here is also the same as on Twitter.  I am proud to be a geek and I like all geeky things.  Doctor Who, Comic stuff, Vampire stuff, all that, and I love to read.  I also have a Doctor Who related tattoo that I got about a month ago - it's a Gallifreyan symbol that I liked and my husband is still mad at me for getting it Smiley

I have a 2.5 year old daughter and I love that that Autumn is upon us so that I can start baking again Smiley

You like vamp stuff? I may have to introduce you to my series. Cheesy

And welcome! ^_^

Oh I like it all!  Thanks!

1076  Travels In Time And Space / The Greatest Show In The Galaxy / Re: How long have you been watching Doctor Who? on: August 30, 2010, 07:34:29 pm
I actually just started watching in Season 5.  Matt Smith is the first Doctor I saw.  A friend of mine insisted I would like the show and was amazed I had not seen it before.  So I watched The Eleventh Hour when it was on and when it was over I said to myself "How have I lived so long without this show!"  From there I started watching the 10th Doctor episodes on BBC America but got tired of that and got all the DVDs for season 1-4 + Specials.  I am completely hooked Smiley
