5  Travels In Time And Space / Torchwood: Miracle Day / Re: Poll: Which Title Is Better? on: January 20, 2011, 08:26:41 pm
I like The New World a lot better. Miracle Day sounds cheesy.  Undecided
6  Travels In Time And Space / The Hub / Re: Torchwood and the Whoniverse on: January 20, 2011, 07:02:56 pm
I'm of two minds about this.

On the one hand, I would really miss the Whoniverse connection and I think it's an integral part of the show's identity. To completely sever it would be a shame -- and sort of an insult to fans.

On the other hand, the show can definitely stands on its own. CoE, love it or hate it (I loved it) was proof of that. And since MD is going to be in a similar vein (a singular story encompassing a season), I think they can pull it off.

But I'm hoping they'll retain SOME connection to DW. However, it wouldn't be the first spin-off in history to completely deviate from its original source.

Time will tell.  Undecided

I had a doctor's appointment, and was already en route when I got a phone call telling me that the doctor wasn't going to be in. If that wasn't annoying enough, I realized it was my fault because they'd left me a voice mail on Monday and I'd never listened to it. Ergh.

12  Travels In Time And Space / The Hub / Re: Which characters death affected you the most? on: January 20, 2011, 01:32:31 am
I cried when Owen and Tosh died -- two in one ep, it was kind of intense. And while I didn't cry when Ianto died (though I loved him), that's probably because I was bracing for it. But I think the death of Jack's grandson was the most shocking for me; I was totally unspoiled, and my heart was racing, and I kept thinking, "Jack won't sacrifice his grandson...right?" But he did.

 Shocked

14  The Doctor In The TARDIS Help Centre / Introductions / Hi! I'm Heather :) on: January 20, 2011, 12:59:21 am
Hello! I'm Heather, a DW/TW fan who's finally embracing the fact that I really do want to be spoiled about upcoming episodes (despite resisting it for a long time). I found the forum because my boyfriend and a couple other friends are mods here, so I figured it must be the place to be for spoilery goodness.

Hope to get to know some of you over time.  Grin
