I'm of two minds about this. On the one hand, I would really miss the Whoniverse connection and I think it's an integral part of the show's identity. To completely sever it would be a shame -- and sort of an insult to fans. On the other hand, the show can definitely stands on its own. CoE, love it or hate it (I loved it) was proof of that. And since MD is going to be in a similar vein (a singular story encompassing a season), I think they can pull it off. But I'm hoping they'll retain SOME connection to DW. However, it wouldn't be the first spin-off in history to completely deviate from its original source. Time will tell.

I had a doctor's appointment, and was already en route when I got a phone call telling me that the doctor wasn't going to be in. If that wasn't annoying enough, I realized it was my fault because they'd left me a voice mail on Monday and I'd never listened to it. Ergh.

Thanks for all the welcomes! (Hi, Chrissy! And I see Maq, Diego and Leggy are also members. Cool.) Hello Heather How on earth have you managed to stay spoiler free being Iceman's OH? Nice to see you here. LOL Well, he's always been respectful of my anti-spoiler stance -- but the mysteries surrounding River wore me down, and I finally told him to spoil me. oshit!

I cried when Owen and Tosh died -- two in one ep, it was kind of intense. And while I didn't cry when Ianto died (though I loved him), that's probably because I was bracing for it. But I think the death of Jack's grandson was the most shocking for me; I was totally unspoiled, and my heart was racing, and I kept thinking, "Jack won't sacrifice his grandson...right?" But he did.

Hello! I'm Heather, a DW/TW fan who's finally embracing the fact that I really do want to be spoiled about upcoming episodes (despite resisting it for a long time). I found the forum because my boyfriend and a couple other friends are mods here, so I figured it must be the place to be for spoilery goodness. Hope to get to know some of you over time.
