Travels In Time And Space / The Angels Take Manhattan / Re: Poll: Rate & Review The Angels Take Manhattan

This episode definetly made me forget about my deception of last week's Power of Three. Brilliantly written, filmed, and I love the spooky touch they did on the opening theme. I think Moffat just wrote the best companion's departure ever. And I absolutely loved the wirst scene with the Doctor and River's relation still growing. So, it's worth a 5 stars. Although, the endind leaved me a bit confused. Why exactly the Doctor can't go back where Amy and Rory were sent? And I wonder what he did with the angel who took them back... I shall rewatch it with pleasure.

I was also scared about this time-limit of regenerations since the Doc was approaching the end of it. I'm so glad River gave him her life in "Let's kill hitler". *Sorry River, they wouldn't have been much of a use for you anyway. As for the Doctor being partly human... I hope he is not, because it makes a cheap excuse for him liking the earth so much. And c'mon, we like him as a full alien, not as a half-one!

Well, as for me I choose 2/5. The story was very intriguing, I loved the frequent allusions to the classic series and I'm glad they have introduced Kate Stewart (I didn't even know the brig had a daughter ). And when we got to the villain (even if it was just an hologram) I found his background great, with the Gallifreyan's myth reference. At this point, I would have rated the show 5 stars, but when the Doctor saved the world by only playing with his screwdriver... I really wasn't impressed.

The Doctor In The TARDIS Help Centre / Suggestion Box / Chat Box?

Hi there! I'm new to the forum, so I may have only missed it, but is there any Chat box? If not, since there is a good number of members, I think it would be nice to have one on the occasions when members are connected at the same time.

76 Totter's Lane / The Space Museum / Re: Patrick Troughton: Missing Stories - The Power of the Daleks

I didn't get my hand on any audios yet, but I read some of the classic novels, the last one being the target novel of The Power of the Daleks. A very enjoyable story. I think all the suspicion of Polly and Ben around the identity of this "new" Doctor during the entire story, and their conclusion, at the end, to accept this new man as their old doctor made it easier for the audience to also accept this regeneration-concept, and kept the show alive. (This, and the endearing new personnality, Patrick Troughton brought to the character) It made realise how easily the next compinions (and the viewers) would since then accept those same changes, by forgetting how much of a shock it must on the doctor's friends. In short, it is not a story to miss if you are interested in the classics since it was the turning point on whether or not the show of Doctor Who would live on. Such a shame that all of the episodes have been lost

Wait! The Doctor is over 1000 years now? It's been a century since he met Rose!?! Well that's a gap that fanfictions writers won't miss! And knowing the doctor, he probably were late each time in taking back the Ponds home .
