1  The Leisure Hive / Paradise Towers / Re: What Has Made You Frown Today : ( on: April 09, 2011, 01:55:44 am
Disagreement with someone on Twitter who liked to present opinion as fact. Apparently, I was wrong simply for being positive about what I liked.

So, who got this month's DWM with the Rory cover?

Perry! THANK YOU!
4  The Leisure Hive / Satellite Five / Re: Film & TV mistakes. on: April 07, 2011, 09:07:40 pm
There's one in the Lois & Clark ep "Stop the Presses" where their boss (I should remember his name - I don't, sorry!) is packing things away and a painting mysteriously turns around.
5  The Leisure Hive / Satellite Five / Re: Merlin on: April 07, 2011, 09:03:24 pm
Having only watched the most recent series, we'll definitely be tuning in!

My daughter getting picked for the school choir.

NCIS
9  The Leisure Hive / Paradise Towers / Re: Gaming on: March 30, 2011, 08:22:38 pm
PS2 games are being called old. I feel ancient for having owned an Atari 2600.

Also in my previous post I forgot to mention Dissidia, which I've played a lot of lately. My favourite character to play as is Firion (and not just because I love his voice!).
10  The Leisure Hive / Paradise Towers / Re: Gaming on: March 30, 2011, 12:39:09 am
I've mostly been playing Final Fantasy XIII recently, occasionally taking a break to play Eternal Sonata, and I recently finished Portal.

I'm also a big fan of the Kingdom Hearts series, II is my favourite so far with Birth by Sleep a close second.

Eyeshine - Hope Is So Far Away
12  Travels In Time And Space / The Doctor's Wife / Re: The Neil Gaiman Episode - The Doctor's Wife on: March 29, 2011, 04:15:05 pm
My pet theory is that the episode will feature a character who is a medical practitioner, and that character's wife is important to the plot. Nobody said it was THAT Doctor ;-)
13  Travels In Time And Space / The Greatest Show In The Galaxy / Re: OMG they just mentioned Doctor Who!!! on: March 12, 2011, 12:29:56 pm
There was a fourth season episode of CSI:NY where the victim thought he was a time traveller, I think it was Flack who made the DW reference.
14  The Leisure Hive / Paradise Towers / Re: What scares you? on: September 18, 2010, 02:53:00 am
Manholes - I refuse to stand on them anymore in case the lid is loose. To be fair, I did fall down one a couple years ago.

Other one is much weirder: I can't stand being able to hear people talking outside. I have to turn the volume up on the TV/radio or leave the room til I can't hear them anymore.
15  76 Totter's Lane / The War Games / Re: Nintendo Accessories on: September 13, 2010, 10:49:55 pm
Iceman, if you have a DS you can import the game with no worries, DS games don't do region coding :-)

As for the Wii, probably not, but check with someone who knows more about it. As far as I know, the Wiimote should be fine and obviously the DS stylus will.
16  Travels In Time And Space / Inside The Attic / Re: Daleks In SJA? on: September 13, 2010, 10:34:35 pm
Given what Daleks are capable of, it might be a bit too much murder for CBBC and they'd have to write around that. It would be less complicated to think up a new monster so they don't have to explain why the usually-murderous Daleks are suddenly not killing people.
17  Travels In Time And Space / Mission To The Unknown / Re: Amelia Pond on: September 13, 2010, 10:28:02 pm
Even before that - she was praying to Santa. At Easter!
18  Fanatical For Who / Appreciation Threads / Re: River Love on: September 12, 2010, 03:03:56 pm
I don't mind the idea of that other thread, it means we can choose not to read it ;-)

I really hope River doesn't turn out to be evil, I'd hate for someone that awesome to be on the side of the bad guys. Though if she only is because she doesn't know they're bad, and everything she's done since is her way of making up for it, I could live with that. Either way, looking forward to finding out next year!
19  Travels In Time And Space / Inside The Attic / Re: Thoughts of A Newbie on: September 12, 2010, 02:57:57 pm
Relax. Kelsey doesn't stick around, and the character we get instead is so much better!
20  The Leisure Hive / Paradise Towers / Re: DWITTER - like twitter only cooler. For all those random thoughts.... on: September 12, 2010, 02:55:48 am
Well, I did it. I finished said game. And it's stupid o'clock but I'm too excited to sleep.
