No, the sarcasm was indeed noticed and looked to me like negging. Its only real purpose was to remind everyone that you didn't enjoy S5 - which nobody is forcing you to do, much less post on a thread dedicated to praise.
Back on topic, I know the new Daleks have come in for some stick but they haven't had a big chance to show how powerful they are yet. I know quite a few younger fans who love their new look and I like tne idea of them having specific roles within the Dalek army. You could have entirely different stories based on which Daleks were involved.

I have another idea: next year's main villain is the as-yet-unseen Mr Song. I doubt this would be the Master as I don't see him making the same mistake twice, maybe some unhinged copycat? We've seen other members of the Cult of Saxon before, after all.

*raises hand* I loved almost the entire thing. Sure, there were moments I wasn't too keen on, but take parts away and you'd damage the whole. Really hoping we get more of the same at Christmas and again next year!

Facing off against the stone Dalek is certainly one of my favourites (I'm not going to mention the uniform. Damn, just did.)
The bit in Cold Blood, while heroic, is still painful to watch even after The Big Bang. This week's DWA has a couple of pages on that scene :-(
Has anyone read The Glamour Chase? Lots for Rory to do in that, he gets his chance to be clever.

I'm guessing most people here are into other speculative fiction, not just DW, so what first got you into it? My first series was The X Files. Saw it when I was about 13 and got hooked, and carried on even when it stopped being popular (wasn't fun avoiding spoilers from people who'd seen it on Sky, though!)

I suppose none of it came from the money they make off merchandise etc? Actually, without the bit about the news website it sounds like yet another anti-videogame rant disguised as concern over public spending. (Though as a gamer I'm sensitive to rants of that sort, so might be imagining some of it)

Another fan right here! TNG was my first and still my favourite.
By the way, someone behind the scenes on TNG was a DW fan - freeze-frame on the damily tree in "The Neutral Zone" and you'll see what I mean :-)
