Travels In Time And Space / Series 2 / Re: Army of Ghosts/Doomsday - Coming to the end of Series 2

Doomsday (as my username suggests) is all kinds of amazing. It is just the ultimate episode for me, I could watch it on repeat and never get bored. The Dalek/Cyberman **** off gives me chills everytime 'You are better in only one respect....you are better at dying' AMAZING! I always love bitchy Daleks ("Yes, we know who you are" - Harriet Jones...excellent)
The whole Rose's 'death' was perfect, and when the Doctor and Rose stand at the void and Rose burst into tears, it does things to me, the whole notion of knowing that someone is somewhere but you can't get to them or see them, its like every feeling of someone dying or (in a really dramatic way) when you split up with someone and you can't see them and it kills you inside.
Knowing what happens in later seasons, I guess it does make things change a bit when you watch them, but the emotion of the beach and the way it is played is some of the best television I have ever seen.

I personally wouldn't like it, but that just my own opinion because I don't episodes set in the past, I never really have, even like on Buffy and Angel, when they have the flashbacks to the past with Angelus ect, I hate it, doesn't sit well with me. I'd still watch it, because you know, Torchwood rocks my world, but I'd miss Gwen too much also.

Travels In Time And Space / Inside The Attic / Re: Rate & Review - The Nightmare Man Episode 2 (Spoilers)

Watched my first ever episodes of Sarah Jane tonight and I was pleasantly surprised. I am not too sure what I was expecting to be fair, but I liked the content of the episodes, and the whole 'nightmare man' thing, did remind me of 'Restless' from Buffy season for with the 'I wear the cheese, the cheese does not wear me' man. I loved Sarah Jane (I guess that helps) and she stands well on her own, and it was nice discovering more about Luke, coz tbh I didn't have a clue how or why he was her son and had no idea what had happened, I had only seen him in the few episodes at the end of Tennant. I did like his character, altho I did prefer Clyde, I thought he was a great character. Overall I did enjoy watching it, and the doctor reference did give me some exciting tingles. I will continue to stick with this, for at least until Matt Smiths appearance at the end of the month, and then see from there....

Travels In Time And Space / The Crusade / Re: DW 2011 - what are your thoughts?

I am very much looking forward to it. I am, I think, most looking forward to getting another chance to like Matt, as I really didn't fall for him last season, only liked him in a few episodes. I also (as harsh as it sounds) look forward to the possible end of Amy and Rory as I really don't like a married couple travelling with the Doctor. As long as the main focus is on the river storyline I think it could be an amazing season.

Hello people of this great forum Just wanted to say a big hi to everyone and to say I look forward to joining you all in celebrating the fantastic Doctor and everything about the series. My name is Adi, I am 25 from ManchesterMy favourite character is by far Rose, mainly because Billie Piper was the reason I gave Doctor Who a chance in the first place, and I will be forever greatful. And also Rose with a gun is beyond cool. I want to like Matt Smith very badly but he has still yet to sit well with me. I am still an official Tennant mourner. You'll neverguess what my favourite episode is. That is all, I look forward to speaking to you all at one point or another in the not too distant future!
