Good analogy there using lost, River. I was exactly the same as you - I tuned out after the "Michelle Rodriguez incident". The whole thing was random & pointless, and only happened because she got a DUI in Hawaii.

It's Doctor Who for me. Until a few weeks ago I might have even said Torchwood, but some of the set stuff we have been hearing about with DW has got me so worked up for it. I Am really looking forward to both, but its DW I want back the most

I am looking forward to both, but my excitement levels for Doctor Who are much higher. Mainly because I know it will be relatively light hearted fun. With Torchwood I think it's going to be a lot heavier and though I am excited for it, I don't think its going to be 'fun' like Doctor Who.

Hard choice... Gonna have to say I'm more excited for Doctor Who than anything. Okay, both of them are going to have major changes but don't think I'm going to enjoy the new Torchwood too much, mainly because I think too it is going to be really "Americanised"... Not that that is a bad thing, but seeing at it all began here in the UK and especially in Wales I'm just not too sure how it'll turn out! Doctor Who, yeah the whole split thing will really annoy me, but I guess at leat we'll be able to look forward to more Who in a way throughout the year! But I love the current Doctor Who cast, 11th Doc, Amy and Rory, and then to see the full story behind River will be quite exciting, but we'll see. Definitely more excited about the return of Doctor Who though

Definitely Who.
I wasn't a huge fan of TW, it was a bit of a struggle getting through it. CoE was decent, but nothing on Who.
And I'm rewatching S5 atm so even more looking forward to it!

Hugely excited about DW. I thought the last series was by far the best since the show came back, and I can't wait to see where Steven Moffat is going to take it next, and to see whether Matt Smith can get even better as the Doctor than he has been so far now that he has a year's experience in the role. And besides, if I wasn't excited about the prospect of a new series of DW starting very soon, what the hell would I be doing posting on this board?
As for Torchwood, I'm another one who only ever really rated COE. What I've heard so far about the forthcoming seires (which isn't much since I mostly prefer to stay spoiler-free) isn't exactly filling me with a great deal of hope. I'll watch it and give it a fair chance, but I'd be lying if I said I was excited about it.
