Not sure where to put this so I'll say it here: there is a 4 page spread on the new series of SJA in the latest issue of SFX Magazine (November 2010) which also features a mini interview with Matt about his guest appearance in the show.
Should we have a SJA in the media thread?! - I'll start it with this if you want. Thoughts?

I've been off line for a couple of days so I apologise if this is already up. Got this from GB about The Death of the Doctor ep, posted by Jonsmad. Fantastic to see this on a big screen. It's by far the best Sarah Jane episode I've seen. It was both a love letter to
all era's of who, old and new, and still a great episode of fun for the regular cast. Now that Luke has left, it begins with him
at uni on a web cam, when unit arrive in Bannerman road and inform Sarah that the dr has died. His body is to be dilevered
to earth by the sansheeth who are universal undertakers as a species. Because he loved earth, and gallifrey is gone.
The script deals sensetively with the topic of Death and Denial, at the begining which is a touching way to get the topic
over to kids. Sarah Jane refusing to believe the dr is dead. There is blue graske species, called Groske in the unit HQ who are a nice version of the monster. The funeral takes place at unit Snowdown base. There sarah Jane
wants to be alone in mourning the dr. Though they wont let her see the damaged body in the coffin. The sombre mood
is broken by a bumbling Jo Grant (now Jones) who smashs a vase on her way in with her grandson (one of many) and cant
stop appollogising and talking about her jungle adventures and how other cultures deal with death. There is a heart warming
connection between the 2 of the companions when they meet, while equally the kids group togehter and compare their adventures life styles.
All isnt as it seems with the Sansheeth, it's a plot. More is going on. The dr appears in the adventure, by switching places with Clyde, homing in on him because of the engery he got from the Tardis last time he was in the presence of the dr. They then uncover the plot in a brilliant fast pasted ending that is full of jokes and greats moments. Much like school reunion, they are great moments between the dr, Jo and Sarah, now he's returned to them with a new face. There are references aplenty, and flashbacks as memory plays a part in the episodes resolution. You'll see clips a plenty, and brilliant scene's harking back to
classic who and "end of time", "wedding of sarah Jane smith" as well as current last series. My favourite joke is the one about the "honeymoon planet" which is where Rory and Amy are. Though the Groske is equally amusing.
and it seems like the 507 regen limit line could just be a throw away line said by 11 as a way of getting Clyde to stop asking questions  |
