The Suspicions of Mr Whicher by Kate Summerscale. I've had it for a while on my 'to read' pile & it's jumped to the top by virtue of the fact that (AFAIK) it's going to be on TV soon. Always prefer to have read books I actually own before I see the adaptation!

We should turn this into a book club and then all discuss the book we read.
I need something new but nothing is jumping out at me

Read a couple of classics (namely 'Heidi' by Johanna Spyri & 'The Adventures of Tom Sawyer' by Mark Twain) but now thanks to my friend I have my mits on the sequel to 'The Eyre Affair' & I'm very excited about it too as I loved that book. So, now reading Lost In A Good Book by Jasper Fforde.

I finished 'Lost in a Good Book' today & if I thought I loved the world Jasper Fforde created in 'The Eyre Affair' he goes on to make it even better in the sequel - introducing the reader more fully to the Book World. Part of me wishes I could move there instead of being an Outlander*. Oh well!
Anyway, onto book three now The Well of Lost Plots.
