Out Of Oz. Finally started it this afternoon. It's been sitting on my shelf since it came out in November but I wanted to reread the other three Wicked books first

Have you enjoyed them? I love Wicked (have seen it 8 times), but I couldn't even get through the book.

You really need to stick with the book because its a tough read to begin with but gets brilliant by the end. The second book is fantastic but the third is a bit meh. I've heard excellent things about this new one. It focuses on Glinda and she's brilliant in the books so that's a good start. The musical has changed the book so much that it might make the read even harder, especially if you are a big fan. The book came first though Tongue You should try reading it. As long as you don't focus on the show too much then you'll probably enjoy it. Especially if you like the characters. Fiyero is quite different though.

Maybe I'll pick it up again one day, then Smiley I think I got to Kiamo Ko though, so quite a way in.

That is, if I ever get through the huge list of books I still have to read!

I read The Prisoner last week by Robert Muchamore,

Is that one of the Henderson's Boys books?! I've only read the CHERUB series, (except Brigands MC- I just couldn't get in to it!)

It is! I found #1 a bit hard to get into, but #3 and #5 were excellent.

You can't just read 11 of the books and skip one out! Tongue Shadow Wave was such a let down though.

Waiting for People's Republic to be paperback before I read that.

Ah okay well I'll try pick it up again... I didn't think Shadow Wave was too bad, shame it wasn't much based around James and Co seeing as it was the last!  I have the first 3 Hendersons boys books I just haven't got round to reading them yet! Never been sure if they're any good!

For a one-off it would have been ok, but as the final James novel I would have expected it to be fully centred on James in some near-death mission as opposed to more about Kyle.
