Now and then, every once in a very long while, every day in a million days, when the wind stands fair and The Doctor comes to call, everybody lives.

Sorry again on the delay - pc should be finally 100% by the end of the month.

So, Battlefield makes it to the final, scoring 8-2 against Survival.....

The Final

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The Curse of Fenric Vs Remembrance of the Daleks Vs Battlefield

The Curse of Fenric

"We hoped to return to the North Way, but the dark curse follows our dragon ship... The Wolves of Fenric shall return for their treasure, and then shall the dark evil rule eternally."

First Transmitted:

1 - 25/10/1989 19:35
2 - 01/11/1989 19:35
3 - 08/11/1989 19:35
4 - 15/11/1989 19:35

Plot

The Doctor and Ace arrive at a British naval installation near Maiden's Point on the Northumbrian coast during World War II. Befriending the base personnel, they learn that the base, run by Commander Millington, is being used as a listening post to intercept and translate German coded messages using the ULTIMA supercomputer, and to stockpile a supply of a lethal nerve gas. Meanwhile, wheelchair-bound Dr. Judson has also been using ULTIMA to help decipher Viking runes found in catacombs beneath the base, warning of a being called Fenric, which has attracted Millington's attention believing he can gain Fenric's power.....

VS

Remembrance of the Daleks

"Do you remember the Zygon gambit with the Loch Ness Monster? Or the Yeti in the Underground? Your species has an amazing capacity for self-deception."

First Transmitted:

1 - 05/10/1988 19:35
2 - 12/10/1988 19:35
3 - 19/10/1988 19:35
4 - 26/10/1988 19:35

Plot

The TARDIS arrives in London in November 1963, where the Doctor and Ace discover that two rival factions of Daleks - one loyal to the Dalek Emperor and one to the Dalek Supreme - are seeking the Hand of Omega, a powerful Time Lord device that the first Doctor hid there during an earlier sojourn on Earth.

VS

Battlefield

"Pitiful. Can this world do no better than you as their champion?"
"Probably. I just do the best I can."

First Transmitted

1 - 06/09/1989 19:35
2 - 13/09/1989 19:35
3 - 20/09/1989 19:35
4 - 27/09/1989 19:35

Plot

The TARDIS materialises in the English countryside near the village of Carbury, where a nuclear missile convoy under the command of UNIT's Brigadier Winifred Bambera has run into difficulties. Lying on the bed of the nearby Lake Vortigern is a spaceship from another dimension containing the body of King Arthur, supposedly held in suspended animation, and his sword Excalibur.

Gonna let this one run til Friday night, folks - may the best story win!!

That's a tough one, but I have to agree! Though I really hold Greatest Show in the Galaxy and Dragonfire up there...
