The biography of the second Doctor Patrick Troughton is in preparation. The actor’s son Michael is writing the book, due for release in November.

Publisher Tim Hirst says “Michael’s research is comprehensive and meticulous and his enthusiasm for the project is contagious! This book will be a real treat for Doctor Who fans.” Patrick Troughton had many film and TV roles, before and after his three years as the Doctor, and was also a Commander in the Royal Navy during the Second World War.

It can be preordered from Hirst for £19.99

Now and then, every once in a very long while, every day in a million days, when the wind stands fair and The Doctor comes to call, everybody lives.

Like The Doc I'm more than a little surprised that this has taken so long to come about. It'll be an interesting read I have no doubt. Smiley

Sarah Jane Smith: No.The universe has to move forward. Pain and loss, they define us as much as happiness or love. Whether it's a world, or a relationship. Everything has its time. And everything ends.
