You know, to be honest, I liked 8's a bit too.

It looked like an apartment. I mean, he had a recliner and a coffee table right next to the tardis console lol.

Yes, I've watched the incredibly cheesy movie. So shoot me Tongue

Nowt up with that, Ice.
Let's face it, if you took out the triad/gang crap & TV's Eric Roberts, some of it is decent.

I would certainly like to see a multi Doc story with McGann - he deserves another shot.
Apparently his audio stories are excellent.

Yep. I liked 8 himself, but that was about it.

Have you seen 8's new uniform? Theres a thread for it in the Classic Series section. Pretty cool.

But to stay on topic:

9/10's TARDIS we only really saw the console room. The "Main Room". I think if they show more of 11's TARDIS I will like that one better.

The Doc said in one of the other threads a few days ago that a set has been built for another section of the TARDIS so we should be seeing more of it in Series 6.

Oh and TFD, the 8th audios are amazing. You should check them out Smiley

I have to agree with most people here. The 70s and late 80s rooms looked claustrophobic. I don't like Baker's wood room. I adore the original console room because as it's been said, it's very old-futuristic deco with the nice touch of random furniture scattered about. I also love the hexagonal lamp that you never seen in practically any shot of the whole series but the pilot and how the room is so large.

I adore the McGann TARDIS for it's spaciousness, the drawers, and the Victorian-ness. I facepalm at the Toenail of Disharmony (it just looked so cheap).

As for the 2005 TARDIS, I didn't realize so many disapproved. It was my first console room so I had nothing to judge it by, but I agree, it was missing something that would make it reach it's full potential.

I think the 2010 one is a definite improvement, but agreed, the console being made of random objects just makes no sense. It's part of Matt Smith's regime of being a charming but "tailor made to perfection that can only be artificial" Doctor. He's a great Doctor but the new stuff is very commercial and carefully designed to win people over.

But I do love how much is going on in the 2010 room, plus like McGann's, it's quite large compared to most console rooms.
