DWM have just tweeted to say the overnight for this was 6.1m.

I think we will have to wait for official confirmation about the overnights. There is a bit of confusion between the two figures because it started two minutes late, or finished 2 minutes early or something like that, so some of the audience wasnt counted. I know this probably makes no sense, but I am just trying to relay what I read earlier today

Ok, I just did some digging to try and make sense of my post above, so this should work.

The episode finished at 19:16. Because it went 1 minute over the 5 minute slots that overnights are counted in, the average for the show was counted based on it finishing at 19:20, but by doing this the 3m drop between episodes dragged DW's average down. When you count it but cut off at 19:16, DW's average becomes 6.1m.

Does that make sense?

The AI is a bit late out today, so I am hoping it comes soon so I can crack on with my graphs. 6.1 is a good overnight though considering it was quite a strong night all round. The hype I think will bump this up loads on iPlayer to quite a high official

The share is a little lower than I would have expected but the overnight is good and as PP says, the hype will bump that up on iPlayer. Brilliant AI too

Yea the share was a lot lower than I would have expected, but with the last episode the share rose a fair amount to get back on track so there is every chance it will do the same again for this episode. Anything from about 33-34% upwards is where we should be I would say

I'm just a shade disappointed with the AI for this. I would have expected a mind blowing AI and actually it was just in sync with the rest of the episodes. 87 is not to be sniffed at, but I really thought this would have an AI pushing 90.

Overnights and share pretty much as expected. Put a show on, however brilliant on a lovely summers evening with Eurovision and a reality TV show and thats what you get. Can't wait for the Autumn run of Doctor Who - dark nights is when the show works best

It timeshifted over two million which is amazing
