At the very end when they are pushing the door closed against mad Jen, there is a sign about Gangers only going past?

On the other side of the door is a different sign, didn't pay much attention, just vaguely noticed it Smiley

Although, if there are ganger only areas, perhaps it would make more sense that they have access to the systems. If there are computers in the areas where humans can't go then it would make sense that gangers can access them. I suppose it could come down to them only being able to use the computers in that area, but if they are all connected then they should be able to remote control other areas.

This is all speculative though as it is something that we as viewers would just have to assume as its never really addressed in the stories

It depends where the computers are, I don't think there would be high logical sense in placing computers that can't be used/need human ID near potentially dangerous things, it isn't cost effective!

Oh I agree, but the background knowledge/speculation is fascinating!

Though in real life they would be more likely to have 'access centre' computers near places that are high risk, especially with things like reactors, because they would often control that particular sector. Though that only really backs up the theory that they can only use the computers in their designated areas, so still wouldnt explain my first point about why they can't use computers everywhere else, so my point it pointless Grin

hehe

Though I would agree with having comps near high maintenance or high risk areas...I would still put it outside the room and besides, it's the modern age - It all links! Tongue

So if it all links, then they should technically have access to everything. My brain hurts. This is like a chicken and egg debate Grin

Er *science geekyness comes out*
An acid plus some stone (possibly carbonate ish) wouldn't make choking gas!

Carbonate+acid->salt+water+carbon dioxide...

Eg...
CaCo3+HCl->CaCl+H2O+CO2. Not any chokey gas what you on about! Unless this is a really really weird stone!!! :/

Surely it would have made more sense for the Doctor to put all the Gangers inside the TARDIS and then he himself sonic Jen when she was in monster form. That way Ganger Cleaves and Ganger Doc wouldnt have had to die

I'd interpret that as merely meaning it's too dangerous for humans through there, not that there are segregated areas.

Yeah, but it's the same thing...

Too dangerous means Gangers only means no human access to terminals etc

I think what they mean is that if anything, its the humans with the restricted access.

One I noticed is when the Doctor is about to sonic Amy he opens the prongs at the end of the sonic, but when the camera faces towards Amy the prongs are closed

Yeah, humans have restrictive access in terms of safety, Gangers can't access the computer system - restricted access

I don't understand why The Doc's kept swapping sonics... Or rather, why only one was shown to exist... Surely the complete replication means they both have one, so why did they chuck it between them?

I'll come back to this after my rewatch right now

I thought only life was replicated, not electronic things like the sonic?

He definitely tossed it to duplicate Doctor, who went outside and was knocked out.  Back inside original Doctor had a sonic.  So yeah, major goof.

But they had swapped by this point. It was the real Doctor who got knocked out but he was pretending to be the duplicate.

And I thought the flesh could clone anything, which is why they woke up with clothes on etc
