Don't hate me, I only gave it a 4.
I may change my mind after I watch both parts together though.
The ending was a full blown WTF moment for sure - I swear if anyone ruins how that pans out for me, I'll end them.
I mean...another regen? Who the? What the? I think I actually may have yelled "What the f---?!" as it happened.
Mark Sheppard needs to come back. I loved how they had him be "bad" at the start as he's always playing villains, but then it was all a work to sneakily get everyone in the "perfect prison" to escape!
The swimming pool was absolute utter cheese, but I LOL'd hard at it.
River kicking ass was epic. How can anyone hate a female character this empowered & badass?
Was the music every time we saw Nixon a nod to Blazing Saddles?
I'm a bit behind you lot as didn't watch live, then stuck on confidential.

I'm with you all. I wouldnt have got violent because I am too much of a lady but I would have been very unhappy if that had been spoiled for me and it makes me a bit more bitter about the stuff that I do know |

I'm with you all. I did a rewatch with both episodes and when watched altogether its absolutely brilliant from start to finish. A lot of stuff, maybe too much, left open and unanswered, but I will sit pretty until the end of the series and hope that they become answered at some point.

I watched it later as I went for a meal when it was dark (probably heightened the mood) and -- I LOVED it. I've also rewatched the last ep twice since without my laptop on in front of me and really like that too now. But this ep was phenomenal. I can't believe people haven't mentioned this yet - how sad was it watching River realise that was her last kiss?  The only thing that bugs me -- how would the Doctor be OK with giving a kill order for an entire race? |

And wasn't there a comment about he likes her being bad and killing people? I need to rewatch. But that also seemed really out of character. Apparently anything River does is fine, to the Doctor...
