I gave it 4, because I felt the resolution to the story (not the cliffhanger) could have done with something more - not sure what, but I thought the Gangers abandoned their fight a shade easily.  On the other hand, the ending was awesome.

I thought whilst watching it last week it could have squeezed in to a single episode Smiley

I didnt mind that though because it only ever really felt like Jen wanted it in the first place. The others just seemed to want to be left alone

Yeah I thought the gangers were accurate, they realised that they were the same person and could hold the same rights and when their counterparts died/sacrificed themselves they stepped in to the same shoes and dealt with it humanely, obv cept Jen, but then she was different from the off

I only just remembered that the Americans don't get to watch this until next week. That sucks! Let's hope they don't all get spoiled

Shouldn't be too difficult. All they have to do is avoid the internet, television and other people, stay indoors, board up all the windows and doors, and spend the next week hiding under their beds with a soundproof bucket over their heads.

Not too much to ask, is it?

Well, I loved every second of that. I don't mind that I kinda guessed ...
the Doctors had switched shoes - I guessed that
That little 3 minutes at the end was just jaw dropping.

I imagine this will be one that really benefits from being watched as a whole 90 minute segment

Shocked to say... I really enjoyed it Shocked

Not the best episode, and I think Jen and Cleaves' character motivations compared to their Gangers was TOTALLY off and didn't make much sense.

The twist with Jen was obvious, but the twist with Amy? Woah. I thought when the Doctor was saying "Breathe" it was to do with the pregnancy, but I thought it'd be something she later remembered... not that she herself was a Ganger. Total shock when I worked it out in the final moments.

A very very surprising 4/5

(Oh, and I think it helped I waited till it was dark... it certainly wasn't scary, but I don't know... helped to set the atmosphere a bit more?)

I think I'm even more shocked to read it Shocked

Grin

After your comments last week I would have expected you not to be so keen on it this week. Do you think, as Chris says above, watching it as a whole might change your opinion of the earlier episode?

Lol I was pretty err... outspoken last week Tongue

It might quite possibly. After exams I'll definitely watch them both in a row.

I'm holding off on voting right now to see how I feel about it after rewatch.

I already have my double viewing penciled in for tomorrow. I've given it 9 out of ten (based on both votes) so far, so I will be interested to see if it gets a ten when viewed alltogether

I went with a 5. I was thinking 4.5 but I rounded up. There were a few little niggles, like I wasnt completely sure that the writers had control of all the different characters and who was doing what, but overall it was totally enjoyable with a great finish

I've given it a five. That might just be me being slightly over generous because of how much I loved the story and the fact that it was complimented by a great ending, but I thought the first ten minutes were a bit slow and all over the place. That's my only complaint though really

I went with full marks again. I loved it last week and loved it even more this week. The twist at the end was good but I think the episode would have been great regardless. Jen was brilliantly creepy throughout and the stuff between the two Doctors was genius.

This is pretty much how I feel about it too. 5/5 from me

You never know, maybe it will end up as one that you like more on rewatch or something Smiley

You know what, just rewatched it with The Mrs (hmmm...worst Timelord name ever? Evil) and you know what bud, I did actually enjoy it a little better!
It certainly benefits from a sweet ending which I didn't twig, but not as bad as my initial viewing.

I still think it didn't need to be a 2 parter, and the acting of Marshall Lancaster & the Scottish bloke especially, was dreadful.

Can I change my vote to a more respectable 3?

I just finished a double rewatch and its even better when you watch it all in one go. I really thought this story was going to bomb, which is perhaps why I was so impressed with it, but it was anything but bad. I think it might even be my favourite of the series so far.
