I tend to agree with the comments made about the fact that there are plenty of good actors in the UK to choose from who could do with work, so they shouldnt look outside that pool to cast the Doctor. I think most people would see them making a casting from overseas as nothing more than a bit of a way to drum up interest and news, but I don't think it would do anything to help the show, even if it did nothing to hinder it either
