That using 'I'm not eating chocolate anymore' as a technique to stop my grandparents buying me mass quantities of it backfires spectacularly when they take me out for a meal & I want a chocolate dessert - if I'd had one they'd not only know I was lying but they'd start buying it again. Had to have apple pie instead (though it was very nice it wasn't what I wanted)  Undecided

Now I need a new plan  Huh?

Generally I would say it is but at Christmas the bulk of what they buy me is chocolate & I'd much rather have more practical things. I tried asking them to buy me less but it didn't work that's why I told them I'm not eating it at all. Chocolate doesn't last & can be expensive - I'd rather buy it myself as and when I fancied it.

They have been filming in Newport and I am never in the right place at the right time when this happens.

No really, I have only just worked this out. I could have potentially seen two different programs sets tonight (at least crews)

I learned today that for some reason it's really, really hard to buy a bow tie in Cambridge. Huh?

Well, OK, hard to get one cheaply...the posh gentlemen's outfitters only had them at posh gentlemen's prices, and the charity shops didn't have any.  Found one in a charity shop today elsewhere though.  Dark red.  Cool.

Today's lesson was that my husband speaks degu.  (Look them up.  I want one, but he says he'd always be driving it bonkers squeaking at it.)
