Vincent and the Doctor has been nominated for the The Ray Bradbury Award for Outstanding Dramatic Presentation at the 2010 Nebula Awards, the annual event from the Science Fiction and Fantasy Writers of America.

Richard Curtis's story is the only television episode that has been nominated in this category and has competition from the films Despicable Me, How To Train Your Dragon, Inception, Scott Pilgrim vs. the World, and Toy Story 3.

The results will be announced at the Nebula Awards Banquet at the Washington Hilton, Washington D.C. on 21st May.

That's amazing ... and it's in very good company. I'll be surprised if it wins in that group, but just a nom is fantastic  Cheesy

I agree, the nomination in that group is brilliant alone.

The amount of nominations for series 5 seems way higher than previous years. Its great to see the show still being recognised

Not that I'm knocking it but I wonder why? I wouldn't have said the quality of writing/production has drastically changed from previous years. Perhaps the parameters for nominations have altered Undecided

It IS regardless all good I have to add Cool

My cynical side whispers that maybe it's something to do with it having a high-profile author.  Still, I'm not complaining either.
