My favourite of all the opening episodes. I had such low expectations and I sat down ready to hate Matt Smith, but he totally blew me away as the Doctor. I watched TEH 8 times in the week it was aired. The scenes between Eleven and Amelia were absolutely brilliant

This episode has a special place in my heart because it's where my DW story starts. I know it's the one I've watched the most - if I can't decide what to watch, TEH is what I turn to. Having no real experience of any of the other Doctors I had no baggage going in and Matt Smith had me from 'Can I have an apple?' It has some great humour in it & some wonderful one liners. And I too love the scenes between The Doctor & Amelia.

I love this episode, it is my fav from S5 and I believed in Matt, especially the roof scene when he says "Hello, I'm The Doctor. Basically, run."

Like poprockgeek, this was my first ever episode of Doctor Who.  I was in awe while watching it and it kick-started my love of all things Doctor-related.  Wonderful episode!  And wonderful introduction of Matt.

4 from me. Definately one of, if not the strongest series opener of the lot. Nearly all of it was brilliant, but there were a few niggles in there that made me take a point off

Four for this one. Brilliant intro for Matt and the dynamic with Amy was set up really well. Amelia was also totally adorable.
