Well I am from near Cardiff so it would give me a chance to go see my folks and catch up with the lads so I would choose Cardiff over London, but you know, whatever majority went with I guess

Cardiff sounds good to me. One of the few places that's relatively easy to reach from my own back-end-of-nowhere location. Plus it just seems kind of fitting somehow...

I'm not going to cry London is easier (though I actually live there so technically it is!) as I believe the train line that runs through my neck of the woods actually does go to Cardiff. I'd love to go there as I've never been - but at the end of the day my concern will be whether I can actually afford it - if I can though I think it's a great idea  Smiley

PRG makes a good point.

It would be great for as many of us... who want to... to meet up so we do need to take in to account the practicalities - travelling/costs ect.

Do we want to make a day or a weekend of it? I said AUGUST because it's the birthday month of the forum but if another time suits everyone perhaps we should open that up for discussion as well Smiley

I guess it depends where it would be again for a day or weekend thing, because it would depend how far everyone is travelling? I'd say London personally, because it's only 20 minutes on the train to Waterloo for me, but then again, I'll go with whatever people decide.

If it ends up being in London, I'm there! If it's in Cardiff, I have absolutely no chance of getting there so I'll pass. Either way, this is a great idea. If I do come, please excuse my extreme quietness. I don't do well meeting new people. Embarrassed

Well I'll be doing a stop over regardless - neither London let alone Cardiff is a day trip for me Smiley

And you can be as quiet as you like - I'll try and keep the interactive games to a minimum  Cheesy Joking Wink

I think this is a great idea, but it is unlikely that I will be able to attend, being that it would be way expensive for me to fly over there.  If you do it, take lots of pictures!!!!

Maybe we can do a meet-up for the US people on the same day??  And then we could video skype each others parties.  Not sure how realistic that is, though.  Just a thought Smiley

Strangely enough I did think about a SKYPE connect up for those that couldn't make it but like you I have no idea how it would work. Undecided

Great idea having a TWIN MEET UP  over there Afro

Love the idea, but my logic head tells me that it'd be about 98% no go for me - probably.

That said, I'm voting Cardiff as 1. it makes sense being a Who meet 2. London is way overpriced & 3. selfishly I have a dear friend through there I could stay with (probably).

I think if it gets enough interest I'd be the "not sure" guy until almost last minute - possibly even just jumping in the car & driving from Glasgow!!
