A couple of online retailers have started putting this up for pre-order with a July 11th release date. Play have the BluRay for £23.99. It will come with the first 7 episodes but there is no word on extras. They also have this synopsis

The Doctor returns, alongside newly weds Amy and Rory, to face monsters and mysteries and adventures all across time and space, in a thrilling new series of Doctor Who. Together they'll find themselves in sixties America, battling the invasion the world forgot, then journey on the high seas of 1696 aboard a pirate ship, to solve the mystery of the Siren.

In a bubble universe at the very edge of reality, the Doctor will meet an old friend with a new face, and in a monastery on a remote island in the near future, an industrial accident will take on a terrible human shape. And waiting for them, at the end of all this, is the battle of Demon's Run, and the Doctor's darkest hour. Can even the truth about River Song save the Time Lord's soul?
Only two things are certain. Silence will fall. And a good man is going to die...

I won't be getting it. Most of the people I have spoken to won't either. I, and I think most other people, would rather wait for the full series set

I am intrigued by this bubble universe... It sounds like an idea I once had... and stopped writing because I didn't know enough about Gallifreyan history... INTRIGUED! Wink

But I'll probably get it for Christmas, so the whole box set Smiley My friend will probs buy it though so I can watch it then Wink

I'm going to wait for the full series boxset as well.

Interesting to get some more insight into the first half of the series though  Smiley

I'm with everyone else. I'd rather wait until the full boxset is out. I imagine though that they will split some brilliant extras up to make you want to get the mini sets too. Mondey grabbing so & so's

I will get it depending on what the extras are. If they are basic I will wait until the full series set comes around, but if they seem decent I'll pick it up.

Are the people at 2Entertain looking to fund a Space programme or something? £23 for a featureless Blu Ray 7 story DVD? Their pricing policy makes me wonder if they are run by the same little fella who was on The Sunmakers?

Perhaps they can bundle it with the 3rd re-release of Vengeance on Varos to really add some value?

Just pre-ordered this tonight... can always cancel it nearer the time, but I'm not the sort of person who sits through all the extras so will just watch the episodes (havent watched any of the extras on my S3, S4, S5 or specials boxsets) .... Pre-ordered the DVD boxset for just under £16, it seemed to have been going down in price but went up a little again tonight, but only by about 10p or so...

Just don't know if it was the right thing or not... will wait til we see what is on it for sure to see if I'll cancel my order... But by getting my order in means that if it goes up in price I'll pay the lowest price and if it goes down i'll pay the lowest price still Cheesy

I'd rather wait for the full box set. If I got the volumes then I know I wouldnt shell out for the complete set, then I would alway be annoyed that it doesnt sit right on the shelf

This. And also I refuse to pay out twice so that the BBC can make even more money off the same show

The only thing about waiting- call me impatient, but the S5 complete box set didn't come out til November and that was after the E13 being broadcast at the end of June. So that was what a 5 month wait... and if we're getting another 6 episdoes from September-October does that mean we'll have to wait til March for the whole box set?!

But then again saying that seeing as at the moment this S6 pt 1 box set is set for release on the 11th July, maybe it won't be so long a wait... I just know that if it is a long wait and the Doctor Who episodes are left on the Sky+ box downstairs (all in HD) Dad is going to get really annoyed that I'm taking up all the space!!

Despite my earlier protests, after the opening 2 episodes I might just have to part with my hard earned... It is Blu Ray after all and I bet Amazon will knock a few quid off Wink
