Its a while away yet, I grant you, but come the big 5 0, what do you think they should do to commemorate it. Lots of people think there should be a multi Doctor story, while others think there should just be a speacial episode aired on the date (which incidently falls on a saturday). What are your thoughts?

I definitely think there should be a multi-Doctor story, over two parts.  But it shouldn't be too crowded.  So, perhaps a story with 8, 10 and 11 in it (can't see Eccleston being involved)  I think any earlier than 8, and the actors have aged too noticeably (Yes, I know we had Davison in Time Crash but I think that only worked for a one off).

Anyway, that's my thought. Smiley

Yeah, I think so... Definitely! I think having at least 10 and 11 in it would be awesome.. Maybe one or two from before. But like Whistler said, I don't see Eccelston coming back for it... So yeah...(:

I'm all four a multiDoc story for 2013, like Whistler and ciaramil say it's unlikely that 9 will come back, but I can hope.  I would really like to see 8 again, I've read that McGann is up for it so I hope it will happen at some point.

8, 10 and 11 would be great, but it would be awesome to get 9 on board, we can but hope Cheesy

Donna, Sarah Jane and Jack would be good too, and I guess we have to have Rose, though tricky without 10.5 but then again, him being there might make up for more of her!  I'll choose an assistant for 11 when we have one I like who isn't married to another one Tongue

This is something I'd love to see. If they could get all the Doctors going back to the 7th (dress the 7th in his costume from the movie when he was supposed to be older and they'd still just about get away with it), just one or two old assistants (don't want to crowd things too much) and a big two-part, hour-and-a-half-per-part spectacular!

As for an enemy we really need the Master. And if we can have multi-Doctor, why not also have multi-Master and bring back Derek Jacobi as well as John Simm?

The multiple Master idea sounds awesome! You have a few Masters and a few Doctors and you mix them together to get a hell of a great show(: It'd have to be a two parter or something though, otherwise it would be too short..(:

Only if Nine were in it.  I really really don't want to see Ten again.  Eight would be cool too.

God yes Cool

I want the full hit/caboodle - you name it I want it in the mix.  Grin In fact they should make it a mini serial like COE. A five parter spread over the week  Cool

50th anniversary never even ocurred to me, but an event would be awesome. Tbh considering Mr Eccleston's recent comments, with the production team being mostly different now I think if they worked hard enough to convince him he'd do an episode. And that would be my dream. Let's not go overboard with loads of Doctors, just one or two extra I think. 8, 9 and 11 would be lovely. For some reason I can't picture David Tennant fitting in with them though... As for multi-master, it would be wonderful to see Derek Jacobi again for sure. He would be a great foil for Docs 8 and 9. Maybe Jacobi, Simm and a new Master? Two Masters on-screen, and then a massive twist when we find out some other character is also the Master... I'm excited already!

Dame Roger -I doff my hat - multiple masters is an inspired idea! My only problem is that the two real Masters (Delgado and Ainley) are dead (isn't there an IMHO missing from that sentence lol). I wonder what they can do to make it uber special? How about a few Doctors ganging up on some other Doctors? Tom Baker wanted to come back as the Master - so why not have a couple of rogue regenerations Colin & Tom Baker go mad and the others have to find them. The only opponent the Doctor fears: Himself?

I like the idea of a Master who's learned to control his regeneration enough to choose how he looks/sounds, and it would be wonderfully evil of him to come back looking like a former Doctor!

Come to think of it, a Tennant Master would be the most cruel, seeing as he didn't want to regenerate. (Yes, I know the Master couldn't have known that, but still)

Neither Baker can appear. With the greatest respect to both, they have aged too much for it to be credible.

I agree. As much as I would love to see older Doctors return, it will look a bit silly with them having changed so much. The only one who can get away with it is McGann as we have no clue what he looked like when he regenerated

A multi-doc story spread over two parts would be a great way to celebrate the 50th anniversary. It should be 7, 8, 10 and 11. Also, 9 would be nice, but I'm not holding my breath. Smiley

As for companions, Sarah Jane should definitely rejoin the Doctor(s), along with some of 4s companions (the non-gallifreyan kind, since all the Time Lords save the Doctor and the Master are dead).

And speaking of the Master: A multi-master Vs. multi-Doctor story is a great idea. I salute you, Dame Roger... unless, like the Doctor, you hate salutes haha.
