The choice of snacks when watching a season opener is a large part of my Doctor Who ritual. This year, I am so excited about the actual show that I must confess to be at a loss as to what to eat. So I throw it open to the great and the good of the forum to inform my choice. If you could give me your reasons as well - my tummy needs persuasion (but not Enlightenment sadly)

There should be an 'all of the above' answer.
I will be having lots of chocolate and beer in the afternoon. Then when the show starts it will be chocolate, pringles or Sensations (both on offer at morrisons) with more beer, and then probably a Chinese in the night.

As I could only choose one I've gone for crisps & snacks - although for some reason I've never truly understood eating crisps generally tends to lead to me craving chocolate (& vice versa - if anyone can explain this to me I'm all ears!) so I'll possibly end up eating that as well. Why? Crisps have become my snack of choice of late (could be to do with the re-emergence of my favourite flavour?!): cold glass of Coke Zero/Pepsi Max & Golden Wonder Cheese & Onion crisps - perfick!

Hmm..... Haribo me thinks... The next weekend mum and dad aren't going to be here, so I'll be here by myself... me thinks that is definitely an excuse for ordering a pizza in! So I shall be going for the pizza takeaway next weekend!

I'm pretty much the same as OWO, just without the crisps

See, this is precisely the level of detail and thought that I am looking for... Though chocolate and beer sort of goes against my orthodoxy. And for a glorious moment when I scan read your post I thought you said you were having Pringles or Sensorites

Damn you Chris!!!! I've been clean for nearly 3 weeks! No crisps at all & barely any chocolate! Now I have cravings!! If anything, it'll prob be a chinese I reckon. Depends if we watch live or not - our wee one may have other plans involving Duck Tales

I plan to have put on 5 pounds by the end of the episode See, I can relate to this type of unfocussed gluttony - I had Crisp Sandwiches for my first viewing of Time and the Rani (Pickled Onion Monster Munch sandwiches if you're interested) A giant tub of Ben and Jerrys ice cream (Phish Food) hmmmm and probs a thai take away AHHHHH PHISH FOOD! HAVEN'T HAD THAT IN A MILLION YEARS! You can get Phish Food as a Frozen Yoghurt as well as an Ice Cream. Don't understand the purpose of Frozen Youghurt really. Just cold stuff with bits in

OMG I love Pickled Onion Monster Munch. And now I'm craving a sandwich! And I just realised I'm sitting here wearing my Monster Munch t-shirt I used two packets of pickled onion monster munch in a typical sandwich - they tend to crumble otherwise. Quavers will do in an emergency of course I want a Monster Munch t-shirt - I feel I've earned it

All you had to do was eat them (such a hardship! ) then send away the packet with a small amount of money. Keep an eye out for them to do it again ... not sure where to get one otherwise. Though I'm sure there's probably someone on the net that's made one! I like Onion Ring type crisps in sandwiches too

I promise I won't be doing that!!!! It seems like a takeaway banquet is going to be the order of the day. The only problem with that is the lowest price I can bring one of them in for is £27 (I order a set meal for 3 people and then stab anyone with a fork if they touch my food) If I am feeling generous I will let my loved ones share the crab and sweetcorn soup with 3 prawn crackers each. Chances are, I won't be feeling generous.

My takeaway is set out already. Though it will be slightly smaller than yours, Chris. I will be having shredded crispy chicken in OK sauce with garlic rice and maybe some chips. Prawn crackers are a must also. And possibly some ribs.
