I have been rewatching Series 1 again this week and I had forgotten how awful this story is. Ok, the story itself isnt so bad. It brings Clyde in nicely, expands the characters and shows Sarah Jane off brilliantly, but those Slitheen are bloody awful! I understand why they would be quick to use them in SJA. Kids would obviously love farting fat green aliens, but they really are dreadful. They are made worse by the actors who play them I think. Too over the top and hammed up. And that little camp kid who plays the young Slitheen makes me cringe.

Any fans on here? Or any other dislikers?

If it was any other monster other than Slitheen it could be brilliant, but they just really annoy me. The little kid version especially

I always quite liked it. The Slitheen are perfect for kids and the story set everything up really well as any early story in a series should. There are a couple of far weaker stories later on imo

Didn't mind this episode too much I guess! I really liked the whole introduce Luke into the 'human' world... But yeah farting teachers now that's gross not funny! But yeah agreed it was a good story to introduce Clyde.
