Perhaps the scanner didnt know because its not determined yet? Maybe its a timey wimey fork in the road thing and her actions will determine the outcome? OR Maybe she is pregnant with a Silent, and the scanner couldnt remember or something  |

I was also wondering if maybe she wasn't actually pregnant and that the Silents just implanted the thought that she was in her head when she told the Doctor. But then when the scanner kept going back and forth, I had no clue what that meant. Guess we will find out at some point!

A friend of mine suggested that perhaps the TARDIS itself is messing with her pregnancy in order to ensure the survival of the time lord species in lieu of the doctor's death. Which, in theory, explains both the picture and that last scene. Thought it was an interesting idea...

I have this theory that she may have already had the baby within those three months. Perhaps the three months was longer than we're told or even than they realise, and the Silents made her forget.

I like TDDs fork in the road answer. Series 6 is meant to be heavy with the alternate time line stuff (which is why I am not getting my knickers in a twist about who the child might turn out to be), so perhaps in one of the time lines she is pregnant and in the other she isnt, which is why the scanner is confused.

I was thinking about this again today in college... (in my German exam prep time.... Yes I was bored!) that yeah I agree with TDD's... perhaps it isn't a fixed point in history and it's one event that could change... Yeah seems most likely that it;s a fork in the road... |
