He is also vain, ego-centric and quite mad

I have been critical of both Rory and Amy in my time (both as a collective and individually) but I have to say Rory, especially, is really managing to shift between a comedy performance and a deadly serious performance. Arthur Darvill is such an engaging actor and I am very much enjoying him this season.

I really love Rory and I think he is always great. I think he was great in this episode too, but I also feel like they didnt really know what to do with him throughout. It seemed more like he was there because he had to be, but his presence and part in the story definately helped to boost Karens performance

Rory is always Rockin' Tongue

He was once again brilliant throughout and is proving himself as quite the comic actor. He always manages to bring out the motions in me too when he is doing the touching scenes.

And phwoar! Shirtless Rory? Yes please Tongue

He has a lovely body. In clothes he sometimes looks a bit gangly, but out of them.... Evil

Did you see how boney his back was though? It looked like he had a bit of extra skeleton

I agree with Saber that they don't always seem to know what to do with him. I think the 'Doctor-and-young-female-companion' dynamic has become so well established in people's minds that, despite all the times in the show's history where there have been multiple companions, writers still seem to struggle to find a role for a third TARDIS crew member.
You have to hand it to Arthur Darvill though - he may get some pretty slim pickings in some episodes, but he plays everything he's given brilliantly.

Arthur always plays Rory well, there is no doubt about it, but I can't stop feeling a bit like he was the third wheel again here. I love having multiple companions but it is obvious that Amy is the main one and Rory is just there because of her. If we have multiple companions again then we need to make sure they are on equal footing from the off
