Ok, so it was only for a couple of minutes, but it happened nonetheless.
Is anyone tired of it now?

When I heard he might die in this episode I thought it might be lighthearted and a bit tongue in cheek, but the fact that they tried to wrench the emotion out of it again makes me think it was a death too far

Erm, a little, I mean I feel really really sorry for Rory the way they keep on killing him, but I guess it just makes the characters stronger through it, You can see the way Amy is being stronger and maybe more emotional because of it, but also the Doctor. It just highlights the dangers of travelling in the TARDIS but. Yeah I do in a way see what you mean it is kinda annoying, but I think it's good annoying as it sort of brings the characters out a little....

The thing is though, if they keep trying to tug on the audience in that way, eventually they will turn around and just be like 'just die already'

I'm glad someone brought this up. I agree that they need to stop using it as a plot device. It was too much in series 5, so to get it again now this series without it being a jokey homage to the fact he dies a lot, just seems like overkill. OWO is right, if you keep trying to get a response out of the audience in this way then eventually they will stop caring

I'd never get tired of Rory, but I do hope they stop killing him off.

I agree. They need to stop it now. Kill him off for good or don't do it at all. Its starting to become a bit silly.

God it was sad though. I was really welling up when it looked like he was gone. I knew he wasn't but it still tugged on the heartstrings.

As I said in another thread, in the days of hanging, the law was if you were hanged three times and lived, you got to stay alive (and it did happen). That means that Rory's now been killed three times, so he can't die again.

Definately. As I said before, I thought that they might do it in a humourous, tongue in cheek way which would raise a chuckle or something, but they went down the serious route and it now just seems stupid I'm glad someone brought this up. I agree that they need to stop using it as a plot device. Exactly. When he died the other times I genuinly cared that he was dead but now I just wait for him to come back and hope we move on quickly. This is only going to work if they keep killing him and then bringing him back before killing him off totally while we don't expect it, because right now we all know he is never in any real danger. This has nothing to do with Arthurs portrayal though, which I think is as good as ever.

Under no circumstances is Rory to leave that TARDIS in a bodybag. When he does eventually leave it had better be to a happy ending or I will be writing a very angry letter

I'm kind of getting sick of it to be honest, I mean its making me feel like he's just there to be killed and brought back to life nothing more come on Moff make him be the hero for a change

My friend just text me (she knows I love Rory) and suggested they start calling him Kenny They could steal a merchandise idea from that too - The Many Deaths of Rory or OMG they killed Kenny Rory tees/posters/mugs Seriously though, I'm fed up with it now as well - 'oh no, not again' was what went through my mind as it happened.

I would be counted amongst the group who has given up caring. I like him, but I am over the constant deaths now. Give the guy a break and take his character seriously Moff
