Personally I loved it, but does everyone think it was a good move?
Hearing the words it was saying through Idris, it was like we had had fifty years of seeing the same character on screen and then them finally getting their first line and absolutely everything she said was perfect and completely made sense. Brilliant

It was absolutely perfect!! I sort of knew it was coming but wasnt sure how I would feel about it, but then it was just perfect. I LOVED how she was saying she stole The Doctor. Brilliant

Great idea. Not something I'd want to see happen on a regular basis, but for a one-off it was brilliant. Especially when it was as well-written as it was.

I agree, it should be kept as a one off or something that shouldnt happen again for a good few years otherwise it will lessen just how great it is

I wasn't sure if it would work, but it was written so well that you can't really find anything to complain about it. Suranne Jones put in a brilliant performance too which is why I think it worked because I think that was half the battle

I absolutely loved it keeps bringing a tear to my eye, the casting was PERFECT and I think that was the main thing, not personifying the TARDIS but getting the right person to play her and Jones was brilliant!!!!

Yep it could have been terrible (and I now understand why Gaiman made the comparison to it potentially being remembered as the Spock's Brain of DW if it went wrong - can't explain it I just understand it!) but Suranne was perfect. Casting is everything with something like this & they nailed it.

Agreed. Did anyone else get Helena Bonham Carter vibes from her?

It didn't actually occur to me till I read that, but that describes her perfectly. I thought it was wonderful. I agree it should be a one-off, but it worked awesomely, and it fitted so well with the relationship the Doctor's always had with the Tardis.

Definitely I was like....er I recognise her, but I don't... Was brilliant humanising the TARDIS and loved how we saw how close the bond is between the Doctor and his machine. That big at the end almost had me

It is one of those rare things; so beautifully written and so beautiful realised but like all genius - upon seeing the revelation it is so blindingly simple and obvious.

I thought this was done so very well. As mentioned by others, it could have easily gone horribly wrong but on the contrary it was wonderful. I felt like I was allowed to peer in on this intimate, deep friendship that they have and have always had but never realized the extent of it. Major props for Gaiman for his wonderful writing but the work of Suranne needs to be praised as well because her interpretation of it was just amazing. And yes, totally channeling Helena Bonham Carter

I'm gonna go against the grain a bit here - I thought Suranne Jones was way, way beyond HBC here - she was in a league of her own. Personally I don't rate HBC, haven't for years now, but I understand the comparisons.

My favorite part too. That and how she remarks that people are bigger on the inside. Gets ya thinking.
