When will it end??!!??

Seriously, I have said it before and I will say it again. She is either pregnant or she isnt but why drag it out? Its obvious it isnt going to be addressed for a while so it would have been far easier to introduce the story at a later point. That way they could address it when it actually becomes relevent and we wouldnt have to be reminded about it every week even though we are seeing the same thing over and over without the story advancing. It's not like we will forget about it in the next few weeks and then wonder what the hell is going on

Yes, I said in the poll thread, surely they can trust us to remember when we get to the point it's important.

Exactly. There is now advancement to it so the only reason I can think of that we keep seeing it is to remind us, which is silly

I'm with you both. I think they should just stop sticking it in there for the sake of it and wait now until it is time for the story to play out. We get the picture, we don't need to see it every week

Yea I feel the same now about this as about the woman. Quit teasing. Either give us something or stop popping it in randomly

The only mitigation I will put is that perhaps it is to remind the casual viewer or the person who drops in and out of the show that this is ongoing.

I have another question. Why, in The Doctor's Wife, did The Doctor not just ask Idris what was going on with the scan of Amy. She might have said 'I don't know' or 'I keeps showing positive and then negative' but surely it was an obvious question to ask?

Yeah, it's getting a bit old.  Why is the Doctor so obsessed with staring at this scan, doesn't he have anything better to do?

I think I'm one of the people who doesn't actually mind too much. Like I said in another post I'm pretty forgetful so the reminder is good, and I agree that its good for the occasional viewer who misses other episodes.

He probably didn't ask Idris 'cause he had wayyy too much to think about without worrying about that.

As for him standing and watching the scan he's obviously worried about it and really wants to get to the bottom of it, and I guess he's watching it in the hope that something changes and he'll get either a positive or negative result.

Ok it would be good to maybe get a slight hint each time we see it, but I personally don't think it to be annoying!

This, like the Eye-Patch Woman, really doesn't bother me. I want to know what it means but I don't mind that he keeps going back to it at all.

I just don't see the point in them waving it in our face every week if they aren't going to give us an answer. We know that she might be, so why not just leave it alone until they are ready to reveal the answer

Just like with Eye-Patch Lady, is it really that big of a stretch to believe that the scan is similar in nature to the Silence themselves? If it's a child created and implanted by the Silence, then of course the TARDIS, as a living being, would forget about doing the scan as soon as it's completed. Then it would remember "Hey, I was told to scan Amy", and repeat the scan. And then it's possible that the Doctor has forgotten that he's run the scan, and believes he's doing it for the first time.
