The classic red herring. Throw something in that looks like it's sure to be significant, when in fact it means nothing at all, thereby sending people down all sorts of plot-theory blind alleys. I love it.

I feel more inclined to think that this is what it was as apposed to just a plot hole, because they really did play it up last week like it was meant to be significant. Those dirty dogs Tongue

There's a good explanation in another thread, that the fact the ganger didn't get the cold implies that Ganger Amy wouldn't have actually been pregnant.
