What did the Doctor mean by needing to block the signal. Well, I know what he means, but what exactly does he do? He says something like 'I needed to get you out of there to block the signal', but based on the fact she has been a Ganger for months and they have been all over the universe, what exactly does he do to block the signal?
Am I just being daft?

I guess it means blocking the signal from the ganger to Amy, cause it looks as though as soon as the Doctor 'melts' the ganger Amy the real Amy comes round. So if you block the signal from the ganger then the real Amy can continue her life and give birth and then the Doctor can actually go and find the real Amy... if any of that made sense!

But I thought that the whole point of him going there was to block the signal, before he zapped Amy?

Hannah's right. The whole point of them going was so that the Doctor could teach his sonic the difference between a reading from a human, and one from a ganger. Then he could scan Ganger Amy to find out which she was, and block the signal from the real Amy by melting the Ganger
