I seem to have really lost my way with this show. It took me about 5 years to even start, then I got half way through the second series (or was it the third?) and stopped. I really need to carry on because I was really enjoying it

I got back into it on Sunday and I have absolutely hammered it since. I left it at 3.4 and last night I finished 5.2. I can't think of a single episode in there that I didn't like but there were quite a few I loved. The mid season disaster of series 3 was great with the boat crash. I loved the story that kicked off with Jane Doe/Ava/Rebecca. I though the mid season disaster of S4 was nowhere near as good as the other seasons though with the ambulance crash. It was good, just felt a little small scale in comparison to others. I didn't realise how much I loved Addison until she made her first cameo a few episodes into series 4. By the end I was begging for her to come back. The conversation she had with Callie about being a lesbian was brilliant and just the look on her face was awesome. I had always been a bit wary of her, but showing her comedic side was a good move. Erica Hahn is pissing me off. I don't get why she is being such a nob to Yang. But more infuriatingly I don't get why Yang doesnt smack her in the mouth. In (I think) the S4 finale when Yang finally tells her to shut up and leave her do her job I was cheering at the screen, especially with the look on Hahns face. Derek and Rose was a bad move, and I am finding myself disliking that character even more as time goes on because he is so self righteous in the way he speaks to Meradith, but he treats her like crap and then its suddenly all her fault. The guy has issues. Even Meradith was getting annoying for a few episodes with all the family stuff in S3, but she has snapped out of it now and I like her again. Her sister is ok, growing on me more with each episode. I was glad to see the back of Burke because from episode one that character pissed me off. I knew it was coming at some point so it was just a case of waiting for him to leave. Same goes for George and Izzy. Two of my favourites in the early episodes, but both are getting unbearable to watch. George moreso that Izzy, but both still really annoying. Miranda and the Chief are always awesome, so no complaints there and Karev is a still a dick, but he always has been so you know where you are with him and it isn't too bad. Oh and Mark has also improved loads over his first few appearances. Really like him now, but hated him at first. And I think thats about it. About 40 episodes done this week. If I carry on I should be up to speed by the end of the weekend Tongue

Yea I am not far behind you myself now and agree with you 100% about what you wrote above. I don't get what the hell is going on with Derek. He was such a nice and grounded character but lately he is becomming so manipulative and mean towards Meredith in order to get his own way and get her to do what he wants. And the way he has started speaking to her friends and stuff. So offputting. On the other hand I have started to fall in love with Mark. He is a total skeaze, but I sort of want to dissapear to the on call room with him anyway Tongue

The hospital I work in is so boring in comparison

I'm about 8 or 9 episodes into Series 6 now. I hate all the Mercy Westers. And I hate Derek. It's getting to the point where I am screaming at the screen now. His ego an arrogance is awful. He really needs bringing down a peg or two

I am up to series 6 now but I have slowed down lately because I got caught up with other shows. Everyone keeps on at me about the series 6 finale so I am hoping it lives up to the hype. I know absolutely nothing about it at the moment so it will all be a surprise. I just hope its a good/cool one.

Traumatised. That's all I can say really. As soon as I saw that man I knew exactly what would happen, but it still didn't prepare me for the trauma. I was on edge the whole time and spent most of it all welled up and shakey. Dramatic I know, but it was horrendous. Brilliant, excellent television but it will be a while before I can watch it again I think

So glad you enjoyed it! Those was my thoughts too. I found it scarier than any horror film or TV show.

Especially when:
Miranda is under the bed and gets dragged out
Fantastic. Second best episode of TV ever, for me, beaten only by the LOST finale.

Oh gosh, I watched that a few months back while I was heavily pregnant. It stressed me out so much I wouldnt have been surprised if I had gone into labout Grin

I honestly don't think an episode (or two) of a tv show has made me sob as much as that did. They worked the tension and drama of that story excellently and I was on the edge of my seat from beginning to end.

I still havent continued on to Series 7 though

I'm at a standstill with it again. I haven't watched for ages. I think I am about half way through S6 at the moment. In the last episode I watched Christina decided to go back to the hospital to work. I'll get back into it again shortly, no doubt

You must make it to the end of S6!

@KEV - I haven't seen the latest episode yet, but I think it's still pretty good! What's bothering you?

TDD you must be on S7 if Christina is going back to the hospital to work because she quits after what happens in series 6, so you're closer to the end than you think.

Shame on you, Joshua Tongue

I've not caught much of the new season but it seems to have started off pretty well I thought.
