Don't know if this has been mentioned on here yet, but it has now been announced that the missing episodes of this story will be animated for the DVD release. (see http://www.radiofreeskaro.com/2011/06/02/the-reign-of-terror-missing-episodes-to-be-animated-for-dvd-release/ )

No word yet on who the animators are, but if they do anything like as great a job as they did with The Invasion this is really great news!

Really? Thats brilliant news. And it means there is hope for the others now too. I wonder why they chose this one in particular

I've always wanted to see "Reign" so this is great!  It has the same number of episodes missing as The Invasion (two), so maybe that's why it was chosen?

I've seen the surviving episodes and reconstructions of the missing ones, and I'm looking forward to this.  To be honest, I'd have expected them to have gone for one of the more iconic nearly-there stories first (The Tenth Planet, The Ice Warriors) which also only have one or two missing episodes, but I'm very happy about this.  And I loved the animation on The Invasion.

So is that what it will actually look like or is that just one of the design ideas? Barbara had a much softer look than that drawing indicates. Its good though and I suppose would be completely different in motion.

This was filmed at a con in Australia where they showed a clip of the animation for this story.

Bits of news trickling through for this.

The commentary for the story will be provided by Carole Ann Ford, Timothy Combe and Ronald Pickup

I can't edit the OP to put the image there (mods?), but it has been revealed.

It's coming January 28th. No word on bonus stuff yet though from what I can see.

I can't wait to see this. It's so exciting. I've never seen a recon or heard an audio for it so it will be totally new for me.
