Ok, so series 6 part one has drawn to a close with 5 stories under its belt, but how does it sit with you all as a whole package? Vote above and post your thoughts below Smiley

Full marks from me. This I think has been a very strong series all round. So far at least

I can only give it a 3 if I'm being fair.
Last night was near brilliant, as was The Doctor's Wife, but the other 5 episodes were decent to meh to rotten for me.

PS - I stickied this, hope you don't mind!

I went with a four because while I loved the majority of it, I can't shake my dislike for episode 3 enough to round it up to that 5

This pretty much. I'd also add The Rebel Flesh as a negative too.

But all the other episodes were phenomenally good.

I went with 4, but I'd probably have gone up to 4.5 if it had been available.  I enjoyed all the episodes, even the weaker ones.

I think the quality of series 6 has been excellent and so gave it a well deserved 5 out of 5

I have given the series a 4.  The Impossible Astronaut and Day of the Moon were a stylish, very creepy opener, Black Spot was entertaining though the ending was not so impressive, Doctor's Wife, Rebel Flesh and Almost People were all  5/5 for me.  The only let-down for me (unlike the bulk of forum members) was the last episode which promised so much and delivered so little.  However, the series has been entertaining and can't wait to see a bit of Hitler-killing in a few months time. Nothing wrong with that, bud, you won't get judged or flamed here.
After 3 viewings I think I get what you're meaning - I thoroughly enjoyed most of it, but the multiple fake hints at the baby being the Doctor's and then the River revelation were eye rollers for me. If I'm being picky I'd also say it's long since time for the BBC to get some new sound effects. The same generic noises being used all the time is beginning to bug my funkies!

I can't think of anything I haven't liked about the current series, so 5 from me.

At the time, I found Madame Kovarian popping up every episode to be annoying and pointless, but I was satisfied with the reason for it when we found it out, so won't count it against the series for the purposes of this poll.

Right um, can I do a little break down of what I thought to clear up my mind on what I'm going to give it? Take an average mark at the end. Wink

Ep 1&2- Loved these episodes so much. I keep on watching them over and over because I love them so much & sometimes the Silence even send a shiver down my spine, so they're going to get a 5/5 Smiley

Ep 3- I don't know why people don't really like this episode after watching it a fair few times I actually really really like it and it's definitely grown on me, so I'm going to give it 4/5

E4- Um sadly this one has never really hit off with me. Maybe because I was in the middle of exams when it was on, but I've only actually watched it through twice... So um... Gonna be a 3/5

E5&6 - Didn't really enjoy episode 5, but I can safely say that E6 made up for it, so going to give it a 4

E7- Going to go with a 4, cause I enjoyed some parts but not others.

*mathematical brain kicks in* 5+4+3+4+4 = 20

20/5= 4. So series gets an average of 4/5  Smiley

I went with 4/5.  I thought episodes 3 and 5 were awful, 6 was meh, but the rest were amazing.

I gave it a 4/5. I enjoyed the season thoroughly, even the "weak episodes." But some of the stuff was just a little too melodramatic. However, all the acting was awesome, and because of this season I have some new favorite episodes. Cheesy

A resounding 5 from me. I loved every second of it. I liked that there were stories with a slightly different emphasis. The expectations I had were of an immense season - and that is pretty much what it was. I thought they got Rory and Amy absolutely pitch perfect, memorable guest appearances from Canton, Idris, Pirates and Gangers. But on top of them all was a simply irresistible, beautifully layered performance from Matt Smith. A wonderful season - and a long summer wait methinks!
