If you could swap any Doctor Who story, new or classic, for one that is currently missing, which would you swap and why?

I'd happily get rid of Love & Monsters because I find it very hard to find any redeeming features with it and in return I'd want Marco Polo. There is something about that story that I can't put my finger on that makes me want to see it above all others. Perhaps it's because its the oldest of the lost stories or just because I like the story of Marco Polo, I'm not sure, but that would be my swap.

Without even needing to think on it, I would swap Tooth and Claw for the rest of The Daleks Master Plan. What I wouldnt give to see that story in all its glory. In fact, I'd give the whole of series 2 for it Tongue

I'd go for The Daleks Master Plan too - it was awesome aged 11, and what survives suggest it would be just as good.  I'd swap Paradise Towers.

Fear Her for The Celestial Toymaker. Of all the lost stories, that one sounds the most exciting

In a like-for-like kind of way, I'd swap The End Of Time pt2 for The Tenth Planet pt4. You could keep the moment of regeneration for posterity (since we still have the regeneration from TTP) then sacrifice the rest.

Also, I'd swap Daleks In Mediocrity(sorry, Manhattan)/whatever the hell the second part was called for the missing episodes of The Evil Of The Daleks. Also Love & Monsters, Fear Her and Timelash for the rest of The Daleks Master Plan. I'd even happily say goodbye to The Dominators if it meant getting Fury From The Deep back.

Oh cool thread!!

I'd swap
The Dominators for The Daleks Master Plan
Fear Her for The Evil Of The Daleks
The Greatest Show In The Galaxy for Marco Polo
and Love & Monsters for The Macra Terror or The Celestial Toymaker

I could go on for hours Tongue

Definitely lose the Dominators and have Fury from the Deep back - just listened to the original soundtrack again, absolutely fabulous Smiley

After watching Meglos I would be very happy to trade it in for something else. Maybe The Macra Terror. I want to see that one. Or The Celestial Toymaker

This is a cool thread. I'd give back Time and the Rani for either The Faceless Ones or The Daleks Master Plan with Mission To The Unknown thrown in too

I'd be happy to get rid of Night Terrors. I'd want Marco Polo in return
