Barbara is one of my all time favourite companions. She had the uneviable task of being a woman on TV in the 60's and I think Jacqueline Hill did a brilliant job of not allowing Barbara to become just another screaming caricature. RTD said once that he imagine Donna as a modern day Barbara and I totally see it. She really held her own in this story and it was great to see
