Discuss any of the mistakes and inconsistencies in The King's Demons

Now and then, every once in a very long while, every day in a million days, when the wind stands fair and The Doctor comes to call, everybody lives.

The Doctor says King John is a good man, which he isn't (at least I don't think he is)

Also, the King knows what an engine is Huh?

Nobody at court other than The Doctor and Tegan seem to notice that Sir Giles has now become The Master

The Master's TARDIS desguised itself as an Iron Maiden, but they hadn't been invented yet. You could argue that in 'time' it wouldnt matter, but its meant to blend in with the surroundings

Well, perhaps not a good man, but nothing like as bad as he's normally painted.  I think he actually said something like that he's a good man for his time, which is quite a big qualification.  He was certainly an improvement on his brother.  I think they were exaggerating a bit to redress the traditional prejudice against John.

The word "engine" was used at the time for structures like ballistas and trebuchets.  It would have been a bit of a stretch to describe a blue box as an "engine" (though not for Kamelion, of course) but the word would be familiar.

I was wondering about that too. Everyone else seemed to act so nonchalantly about the whole thing. Perhaps he had them all hypnotised or something
