I have a great fondness for The Next Doctor myself but Water of Mars would have been my next choice. Cool

Well done to all involved - DT especially. He really got the goosebumps going with his timelord victorious  Shocked Cheesy

I feel about the 'Timelord Victorious', how most people on here feel about River. BAD!

He is also vain, ego-centric and quite mad

Fabulous news and proves that we really did have some quality writing going on at the end of Season 4. I am with the Doc on this one, I thought the Time Lord victorious and the reaction of Capt Brooke just didn't quite work for me. I know why RTD did it - but it just jarred a little with the character. I would have been more happy with the Doc not realising about the whole thing being a fixed point, Capt Brookes being taken home and suffering a horrible 'time illness'..to death! Doc thinking 'Ooops I must be losing my touch...' - that rings true. But the hero of 47 years suddenly turning into the bad guy - steady on! Anyway, rant over, I am now going to watch Victory of the Daleks and wonder how spitfires can be made space ready in under 10 minutes.

Well I think that was kind of the point wasn't it? He crossed a line...you weren't meant to feel good about it...anymore than he was.  Sad
