Thought I'd start this as Merlin returns to UK screens tomorrow night & I for one can't wait.

I know this show takes some (ok maybe quite a few) liberties with the mythology but that doesn't stop me really enjoying it. It's a great Saturday night show. Magic, dragons, good v evil - all good ingredients for me. Hoping to see Lancelot make another appearance this series too (and not just because he's played by Santiago Cabrera - though that helps  Wink )

Bit worried about what is going to happen to it with the DW series split next year as it's currently in the slot that will be filling but I've read an interview with Bradley James and it doesn't sound like it's coming to an end - so hopefully it will just move.

Anyone else love this show? Are you counting down to tomorrow night's return?

I've not seen one single episode of this, but I know it is the type of show that I would love. I just always seem to miss it. I think I will download it and catch up

I've actually enjoyed catching up with this series. Wish they wouldn't screw around with the mythology but you can't have everything. At least not with remakes/upgrades it seems Smiley

hehe I love how self centered the dragon was whilst pretending not to be.

There is so much skill in conveying meaning through voice though, Bravo to John Hurt!! Cheesy

I've only seen the odd episode here and there, but when I saw my mum yesterday she told me that I had to start watching Merlin properly  since 3.01 was so great, lol.  She's the one who got me into DW so I'm thinking it might be wise to listen to her Cheesy

I finally watched 3.01 last night on iplayer.  Great opening sequence and fight, and Tony Head was marvellous throughout.  Found it a little slow in places, but that might be helped when I understand the characters more.  Can't say I feel in love with it, but I plan to tune in tomorrow Grin

Watch episode 2 earlier and found myself more drawn into it this time, probably because I know who is who now.  Epic battle was pretty darn epic!! Grin  Really liked how the dead rose to join the battle, thou seeing skeletons waving swords around always makes me want to rewatch Sinbad films lol.

Will def tune in next week, and I can see myself catching up over Christmas on the old series' Wink

hehe Thats great! Grin

I loved the episode, was strange not having much Anthony Head though, going to be devastated when he has to get killed off, I dont know much about Arthurs tale so I dont know how long we have left of him, hoping ages....

I did like the skeletons, lovely comedy aspect Cheesy
