I have opened this poll and thread because we are collecting data in order to rank stories. Please could you take a minute and rate this story? Smiley

You do not need to give a reason for your vote, though obviously feel free to do so as it is a good way of initiating discussions Smiley

I went with a 4 on this. If I was asked when it was still new I probably would have gone with a 5, but over time I have lost a little love for it. It's still great, but there are a couple of stronger finale's out there I think

I went with a two. There are some brilliant aspects to this story as a whole, but something about the majority of it just didn't work for me. There was a huge jump in quality from the point where Rose looks into the Vortex and suddenly it gets brilliant, but the stuff before that was a bit hit and miss for me

Five points from me. I thought this was a near perfect finale and is definately better than the two that followed it, though it's not better than the fourth series finale imo

Got a 5 from me as well. I loved the huge, epic scale of it all! One thing old Rusty could do was a barnstorming finale! Tons of Daleks kicking around and Rose opening the TARDIS - it was all just brilliant!

This one gets a four from me. It was probably one of the finest RTD finales and had a lot to enjoy about it. The two episodes almost feel like two seperate stories, though that's not a bad thing I guess. I thought the gameshow stuff was a bit silly, but not so much that it puts be off watching.

5 points from me. I think this is still my favourite finale of the lot. Brilliant. And we need more Lynda with a Y on our screens!

This one I gave a 4 too. I think the reality TV stuff was a bit silly and I hated the black guy who was competing with Rose, I can't remember his name, but other than that I thought it was a great story

Four. It's very good on its own but the transfer between the winding up in Satellite Five and when the whole story becomes about Daleks doesn't seem to join together as one big story to me. Each part was its own mini-story rather than a continuous stream.

Rose's deus ex machina doesn't actually bother me that much because it kind of works with the TARDIS and all and I love the way she reacts when she gets back to Earth.

Today, the Kaled race is ended, consumed in a fire of war. But, from its ashes will rise a new race. The supreme creature. The ultimate conqueror of the universe. The Dalek!

The only way that was a deus ex machina was through the literal translation of the latin. The actual plot device was seeded through the entire series and definately doesn't clasify

Not really sure how seeded. The heart of the TARDIS was mentioned in Boomtown I believe, but that's it.

Thought the whole Bad Wolf was horribly illogical, and the whole game show thing was just awful. Ecclestone had his moments though when he seemed intent on killing all the Daleks even at the cost of destroying the Earth. Still can't bring myself to give it a 3 though.
