Giving blood? I would really love to but I'm absolutely petrified!

It's really nothing to fear. The pain is minimal, and the good feeling you get from donating is totally worth it. Plus it's a great way to find out your blood type Smiley

There's a real taboo around needles, but there are far more painful things that I can think of.

This! Going for a stroll in the relative warmth with the sun shining overhead! Easiest way to get me in a good mood Smiley

Same here. I took the baby out and we walked for miles. Well, I did. He just sat in his buggie. It was nice that it seemed to have really warmed up, too. Put a right spring in my step. I bet it will pour down tomorrow Grin

I saw a huge comet on the way home from work. I happened to look up and I saw it. It started off sort of blueish and then as it got closer it turned orange. It looked like a fireball and it had a tail behind it. It was moving really fast and at first I thought it might have been a plane on fire but as it went overhead it was obviously not. It looked amazing though. Sort of like a huge orange shooting star.

Everyone was taking about that in the pub earlier. Couldn't see it from down here in Brighton but apparantly it went from Wales to the Highlands in 4 minutes and loads of people saw it and it got relayed around the pub via facebook and twitter.
